Oh SOOOO SAD
I got My R&B Set over a year ago and just LOVED it, the only thing I thought was wrong is that they show the chest whenever they show any of these but I have yet to hear them say (at least whenever I have watched) that the chest does not come with it. OK but do the cases have to be SOOOOO expensive? anyway my problem is that at the time I ordered these I had on average 3 to 4 teen boys, including my own staying with us and, even thou I repeatedly asked, the forks and some of the spoons must have ended up under the beds or wherever because when we unpacked in our new house we ended up with only 2 forks and many of the spoons got lost. Here is the SAD thing I cant order any more so now I have all this beautiful stainless ware and have no matching forks!! This is my only problem but I think a big one!! Why can't we order more pieces of the design we get?? Really a big problem in my opinion!! For this reason I have to give a bad rating! THINGS HAPPEN WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO REPLACE INDIVIDUAL PIECES!!

Poor Quality
When I received this product I was disappointed in the quality. It was dull with surface scratches. I examined multiple pieces and all of them were the same and some had sharp burrs on the edges. My everyday set looks nicer than this after 10 years. I sent it back.

not the best
Several pieces are more like an imperfection piece, they have spots that look sanded and pitted then refinished. I wouls return set but the last item I returned to qvc I was charged a fee for shipping and handling of a defective item then charged again to get a good item back.

poor quality
one of the prongs on the fork was bent, the finish was sharp, would not want to eat with this flatware. The flatware bends, they says that it stands up to the ice cream test.
It doesn't take much for them to bend. The material is of poor quality.

Love these
I love that this set came with extra spoons since I was always short on spoons with all the toddlers in my house. I am so glad that after several years of seeing this item on QVC that I finally purchased them. My set came with none of the problems that some of the other reviewer spoke of having with potmarks and such. I love them and use them everyday.
My sister also purchased 2 of this set one for everyday and the other to bring out when they had big dinner parties.

So far so good!
I received the flatware today and was impressed with the looks and the weight of the flatware. I am looking forward to using the flatware. I read the other reviews and was somewhat concerned with the quality but found no problems. It looks great and feels great.

Best Flatware
OMG! I've never thought too much about my silverware but with only a few forks left of the old set I saw this on TV and thought I'd try it. Best decision I've made in a while. I've only had it for a few months and my guests are still commenting on it. If you are on the fence, buy it! You won't be sorry!

Beautiful!
My mother-in-law bought this for us in the "Lyndon" when we got married several years ago. I adore this set & always think of her when when we use it. It has a gorgeous design, a multitude of serving pieces, & I love the fact that it's service for 12! For my purposes, this set is only used for Sunday dinners, the holidays, or other special occasions.

Nice Pattern, Too Lightweight
I am always hesitant to purchase flatware online - I like to know that the spoon, fork or knife will fit well into my hand and have some weight to it. I decided to take a chance with the R&B Stainless Steel set and realized why I should have stuck to my guns. While the pattern was very nice (simple and elegant), however, the weight of the pieces were ridiculous. I picked up a fork and it felt like there was nothing in my hand. I knew that this set of flatware would never hold up to the "ice cream test". I am in the process of returning it to QVC.

Reed & Barton - Exceptional Quality
These negative comments amaze me. I have a 100+ piece set that was purchased @ the QVC outlet at least 7 years ago. It has not scratched, tarnished, bent or discolored. We are not in the least gentle with our flatware. I would certainly recommend anything by Reed & Barton. Perhaps those of you with something defective should have exchanged?

Great Purchase !!
I just received my order and I love it. The weight is good. The shine is great. The pattern is wonderful and all the pieces you received with it will make any table complete. I had been looking at this set for a while to replace my silverware that is several years old and missing pieces, but I was a little worry about ordering this after some of the reviews, took a chance and glad I did. What a wonderful purchase.

Hurricane proof!
This review has been a long time coming. My home as well as all in it was flooded during Hurricane Katrina. With few exceptions, my Reed and Barton being one of them, we could not recover our belongings. After santizing and santizing the flatware with very harsh cleaners, we were able to recover the set and used it until we were able to rebuild a new home. I did purchase a new set (think I just needed the change) but my daughter, who had also lost all, continued using it until she was able to buy her new home. The set did not tarnish or discolor even after laying in flood waters for over one month, which contained only heaven knows what. Remarkable durability and quality. Hopefully we will never put my R & B flatware to such a test again but I am confident it would "survive".
