Finally... exercise I actually love again!!
I have been struggling with weight gain and change of life hormones and was loath to go to the gym after work. When I did make it to the gym I would work through the weight machines feeling stress to my joints and heart followed by the eliptical for another 30 minutes of torture with depressing few results!! With this machine I am able to engage a large number of muscle groups in natural movements and rythms that are challanging but feel gentle and lengthening to my body all the while engaging my core abdominal muscles really without thinking!!! WOW!! Add in the rebounder for the gravity eliminated cardio workout and my thighs will never look the same!!! I am so happy that I took the leap of faith and got this machine home. It was worth the investment and does what it is touted to do on air!! If you have a large space to dedicate to it, go for it!!! I am so happy I did and have seen results in an amazinly short amount of time and feel muscles engaged that forgot they had a purpose!!

I love this machine.
This is an excellent machine for money and great to have on auto pay. There are dvds and you can supplement with any source. Just the jump base is killer. I noticed a difference in butt, stomach and legs after just a few sessions. Does take up some space but low key as it is not very high. Having off the floor definite advantage. LOVE Love Love Don't hesitate! Can get down stairs too. Worth every Penny!!!

The Absolute Best Pilates Proformer
My husband purchased this machine for me as a Christmas gift. This was an upgrade from a four-corded machine that I purchased back in 1998. The 1998 version was still working properly and I gave it to my daughter-in-law. The only thing wrong was a few cracks in the leather which speaks to the longevity of the Stamina products.
The Pro XP 556 is absolutely wonderful! It is so smooth and because it is up off the floor you don't get the vibration coming from the floor which means I can rebound for a longer amount of time and not experience any discomfort on my back. Also, having the risers makes the arm and leg strap exercises so much easier.and the double straps for the arms and legs makes those exercises easier to do. The only difference is when laying down or sitting on the platform reaching the straps takes a little effort due to the height of the machine. I've learned when I'm not using the straps to put them over the shoulder rests and that keeps them within easy reach.
I'm looking forward to using this machine for as long or longer than my earlier version.

Wonderful!!
I finally upgraded from the JP model. What a wonderful improvement, has the look and quality of a professional reformer. I was skeptical that I could achieve a cardio workout with the rebounder, boy was I wrong. Although, I take 2 cardio classes at my gym weekly, in less than 2 mins I was tired!! I am very happy with my purchase, except one of the foot strap was a bit longer than the other strap. At first I thought one of my legs was longer than the other (ha, ha), but realized it was the strap. Not a major problem, I just adjusted the cord. Although, the foot strap was adequate, I wanted more comfort. I went to my local fabric store and purchased a quarter yard of sherpa suede fabric for $2.00, and wrapped the fabric onto the straps and sewed it together. I assembled the reformer myself and the instructions was easy to understand. Only problem I encountered was connecting the frames. Although the holes were lined up, the bolts were a little hard to installed. Before I purchased this reformer, I measured the space where I was going to place it. I would advise to measure where you which to place the reformer, because it is large and also allow added space for movements for certain exercises like leg circles and arm circles. I would HIGHLY recommend this model. The dvds which are included are good. Since, I know the sequence and technique in doing the exercises, and don't use the dvds, because I found Marjolein and the music to be a bit boring.

Great for the entire family!
My family just purchased this machine, it has been together for one day, and we already love it! My step daughter, 13, helped me assemble it. It was much easier than I thought from initial glance. There are A LOT screws, but it is very sturdy! We tried out the all of the videos. They do a GREAT job of explaining everything. My step daughter used the rebounder for 20 minutes and got a great work out! I went through the pilates video, and I can really feel the impact on my entire body. I can't wait for my dad and my husband to give it a try! Great buy so far!

I have had a Pilates machine for about 15years now. This is the best one yet. Quiet, smooth, beautiful. It looks and acts quality.

wow..very surprising
i am very picky..i will say that to begin with..have returned anything i am not pleased with..received this yesterday after weeks of comparing which model to get..this is twice as much as the others and i didnt understand why..now that it is here, i do see why..it is very close to being a professional type machine..it is NOT for someone who wants to roll it up and push it away..it is very long..about 94 inches and requires about 76 inches of free width space as you need to spread your legs out and around while on it..if you dont have a large space, get the lower priced one..but that being said, i am 5'1, about 50 pounds overweight, and dont like exercise..i barely made it through the cd but i really did like it..the cd is horrible though..totally horrible..the lady talks so fast and never breaks for a second for you to grab you cords, change position, etc..you HAVE to keep hitting stop between exercises..so that is like 50 stops on your dvd..very distracting..i suppose once i learn the proper form, i wont even look at the tv at all..also, the neck rest is very uncomfortable..so i just purchased the pillow and should get that soon..my shoulders kill from the headrest's lack of support..all in all, this is a very well built machine..lovely to look at with the wood accents, and i am hoping i use it cz right now i am so sore from one session i can barely type..but thats my fault not theirs!

Awesome
I love this machine, however I had to press my ex into action to haul it from where UPS dropped it off by the road into my house. I am 5' 3" and 115lbs and there would have been no way to get this thing inside and down the stairs into my work out room. He seemed to feel he got the better work out hauling it for me...but I love it, it was easy to put together and I was paying $160 for 4 classes at the local pilates studio, so this will more than pay for itself. I am a happy girl and so are my thighs and stomach. Yay for QVC!

BEST PILATES MACHINE
just purchased this machine as a upgrade to my other pilates i have had for years, so glad i did. worth every penny. completely understand its a little investment, took me a while to decided to purchase it, but the easy pay helps. you will love this machine, and so easy to assemble, less than 30 minutes. GREAT PRODUCT!!! and the results and benefits from using pilates is a added bonus!

I had been using another machine for the past 10 years. It finally was time to upgrade and my daughter in law bought this for herself after hearing me rave about pilates for so many years. After seeing her XP 556 I decided this is the one for me. As she put it you sometimes get what you pay for. Like I said I have been loving and doing pilates for 10 years. When I got on this for the 1st time I knew it was the best machine that I could possibly have in my home. I can feel the difference and cannot stress enough what a great machine it is. It is certainly worth every penney. One last remark, I am 5 foot 3 and about 115 lbs and I put it together completely by myself in about 1 hour. : )

worth it
I have bought pilates before on qvc that were less expensive, but didn't last long. I use mine all the time. It soon wore out. I bought this version and it is definitely worth the money. It is solid and the features are way better than on the other less expensive models. I assembled it by myself. It is recommended that two people assemble it, but it is not necessary.
