F09697 - Celtic Thunder "Voyage" 17 Track CD & DVD with Bonus Tracks
Celtic Thunder Voyage
One of the CD's broke when I removed it from it's case. I returned it; one of the next CD's was defective. Last year, one of the CD's was also defective so, as you may realize, I am a very unhappy customer. Although, I enjoy the group, I will never purchase another Celtic Thunder through QVC.
BEST CELTIC THUNDER ALBUM YET!
I have never much cared for Celtic Thunder as they never sang much of the celtic music. But this album blew me away. They sing plenty of celtic songs, new & old, on this album so I don't know what some of these reviewers are talking about! I love this new album and I think it is there best one yet! I think I'm becoming a fan!
Not up to usual standards
As others have said, am disappointed at choices of non- Irish songs. :Puppy love???Will certainly check the play list before I order again.
More Traditional Celtic, Please!
Both my husband and I are fans of Celtic music, so I bought this set for him. I always enjoy seeing Celtic Thunder on QVC, and wanted him to enjoy their performances, also. We both agreed that the music was fine, but would have preferred more traditional Irish Celtic songs, instead of the 'country Celtic' some of them were. We have country music readily available here, but not the beautiful and lilting Irish ballads!
Where are the Celtic roots?
I adore this group but this CD is disappointing. They sound great but the song selection is not up to expectations. Bring back the Irish songs boys!
A Treat for Celtic Thunder Fans and Music Lovers
I have read reviews for many different groups and bands where someone always points out that being a fan of the artist helps to improve the viewing experience. Celtic Thunder seemingly shatters that notion with quality show after quality show with classic songs that we can all sing (or at least dance) along to, amazing instrumentals, flawless vocals (I actually have to stop watching most "Live" shows now from big name pop/rock acts because they simply can't sing without the assistance of autotune) and an overall charming and warm atmosphere. For those on the fence let me just say there honestly is something for everyone in CT shows. My husband is not a huge fan of Celtic/Irish music but he loves the instrumentals and he even cracks a smile at "Ride On" because it is a song he knows. He also will now acknowledge that songs like "Black is the Color", "Maid of Culmore", "Red Rose Cafe" and others on this dvd and cd are not only good but really well done.
The cd offers up more song choices than the DVD which is a shame because the PBS special showed more of the Voyage concert than the DVD does. However the songs on the DVD are entertaining to the point where the concert goes by almost too quickly. We enjoyed the bonus footage on the dvd and there is no arguing with the genuine passion and appreciation Celtic Thunder has for both their fans and their music. A great buy at a great price!
Celtic Thunder - Yeah!!!
I love this group and the music they briing. The blends of their voices and the individual sound is terrific, not to mention the Irish culture they share with the world. Keep up the good work guys. Please bring more of their talent QVC. I'd like to see it available not just for the Irish celebrations - St Patricks Day and Rose of Tralee.
Missed the Irish....
I was disappointed in the selection of songs on this CD...they did a good job but I thought there would be more of the Irish songs.
This is a great album. My husband and I can listen to this album over and over again. nice variety of songs. First cd that I have purchased from this group . Definitely do not miss getting this. A nice gift for anyone.
Love the CD & DVD!! Love Celtic Thunder! I love seeing them on QVC on St.Patricks Day & Rose of Trallee!! Thanks for having them & their Music CD & DVD items.
Different but good
It's nice to see them continue to grow as singers with a different selection than just Irish music.
That being said, I do prefer their other albums.
How "Celtic" is Friends in Low Places? Now come on......... I was expecting celtic music, but turned it off after only a couple songs. Didn't bother with the DVD. I would never buy any of their music again, though I do think the men sing well together. Too bad they don't stick to Celtic music.
