F09575 - Taste of Home "Comfort Food Diet" & "Healthy Cooking" books
LOVE THESE BOOKS
Wonderful recipes, especially the Comfort Food Diet cookbook. Love the photographs.
I just received these books a few days ago and have made to dinners so far. Both were fantastic. My husband liked them even though they were DIET. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to watch their nutrition.
Love These Cookbooks
I am so glad I ordered these cookbooks. Great recipes
Use these cookbooks almost every day. My husband, who is a picky eater, loves every dish I have cooked out of these cookbooks. The food does not taste "diet", it tastes wonderful. These receipes are easy to make and quick. I work, so when I get home, I want to be able to get dinner off quickly. The longest time I had putting together a meal was one hour, most are 30 minutes. The ingredients are those most people already have or are easy to buy at the supermarket.
Cannot recommend enough.
HEALTHY AND GREAT TASTING RECIPES!!!
I USE THIS COOKBOOK EVERY DAY. FOOD TASTES GREAT WITHOUT THE FAT AND CALORIES. GREAT FLAVOR - LOVED THIS ONE!!!
Love these books
I love these books and use them all the time.Great recipes and easy.Only problem is I did not receive my magazine subscription,I did send in the card and that was two months ago.
A great cook book for kids to start with.
I'm using this cook book to get my family back to healthy habits and I found it is good to start the kids off cooking from it as I'm teaching them and getting them going. Hopefully, they won't over salt foods their whole life like had been doing. This is good food and easy recipes.
I have really enjoyed cooking from these and adapting recipes from them. For example, I try to use Greek Yogurt instead of sour cream to increase protein levels, and I also use Egg Beaters instead of full eggs (when possible -- some recipes absolutely need yolks) to decrease calories. Both cookbooks are organized slightly differently, one by calorie level within each chapter and one has an index that is not alphabetical by item but by meal / main food e.g. all chicken recipes are listed under chicken rather than their name, which I find frustrating sometimes. But those are minor quibbles and no one can argue with the quality of recipes -- many of which are so easy to make using common ingredients. So, these are a huge hit ... and I haven't even ordered the free magazine subscription yet, which is another huge perk. Well worth the money!
A bit disappointed
I have never bought a cookbook without looking inside of it first. So when I saw the recipes that were being shown on In the Kitchen with David they looked like they would be good and healthy. I have two people in my family who are diabetic and I was wanting recipes that I could use for them, good to eat, healthy to eat. I was a bit disappointed that
there was very few recipes that I could use. I did love the way the books are presented with the colorful pictures and the directions were pretty easy to understand ( even for a novice cook ). I am going to purchase the Eat More of what you love cookbook and see how that turns out.
The are many recipes to chose from while watching what you eat. I've made several meals from these books. Absolutely love cooking from these cookbooks.
Perfect for a busy family!
Awesome, easy & yummy! You will love these cookbooks. I can't believe how many recipes I can cook without even going to the grocery store. These recipes use common items in your pantry, which is a pleasant surprise for this very busy mom who is trying to lose some weight. It's hard to please everybody all the time, but with this cookbook, you can certainly please most! Enjoy with confidence!
Went through both cookbooks the other day. As a busy mom with 2 active teens, the recipes are simple and not time consuming. Most of the ingredients I already have on hand, and the ones I do not, can be easily found at any grocery store. Just wished the books were hard covered, but then again, I wouldn't have paid the same price.. Added bonus, the subscription.
