great gift My girlfriend got me these books and they're fabulous. Quick and easy for one who has a hectic lifestyle. Ingredients you have in your pantry. Made several recipes and they were delicious. My picky kids even liked the dishes. Go figure! Fast, simple and delicious. These are for me. Give them a try. 06-09-11
New Favorites These two books will probably stay on my counter from now on. The recipes are fast and fun. If someone wants nutrition and calorie counts, there are plenty of cookbooks with all that. I've tried some other Mr. Food books and have totally enjoyed them (Cookies, American, Christmas, Italian). I agree that these recipes are not complicated; however, they were never supposed to be. Lighten up! Whip up something yummy and get out of the kitchen. 05-23-11
Love these book! My friend bought me this set for Mother's Day. I love cooking and am always interested in new recipes or variations on classics. And if it's also 'a quickie' or 'fast', even better! I'm always trying to make my son's fast food favorites at home. I save money and it's much, much healthier. I am a big Mr. Food fan!! 05-19-11
Just So-So. I guess when you have as many cookbooks as I have, I was expecting more. I do love his books and have many of them. These would be great for beginner collectors and cooks. For me, just average books. 04-29-11
Nothing New For Me Possibly of value to a complete novice, the recipes offered absolutely nothing new for an experienced cook. I was hoping for fast and easy recipes from scratch, but these use a variety of mixes etc. bought at the grocery rather than prepared at home from basic ingredients. No thanks. 04-16-11

no calorie count I assumed mr. food would have nutritional information, but no there are very, very few mentions of nutritional counts anywhere. I will be returning these books. 04-11-11
