I received an "F" in Home Economics. Then found this book and Every Book that Home Economics Teachers wrote from Appetisers to Desserts. My Hunny wondered,"why didn't You tell me"? This After We Were Legally Married! {Beyond 60 Days}. I could prepare a Dish called,"Chicken Surprise". Then,Hunny's Former room~mate said,"I am no longer Surprised". He made me cry.Now,Am a Intermediate Baker/Cook.Plus,a Terrific Sous Chef. This is fantastic. A "Must" for All like Me.Learn.Ask for Help to Cook. Learn how to "Poach" an Egg.These are Important Life Lessons.These Ladies may be a bit,"Retro". Yet,that is actually Chic right now. Just buy/try and remember my sage Advice. Females/Males feel good about themselves when they can cook instead of calling for 'take~out".

No pictures
I bought this series for my sister who is a wonderful cook, but did not realize that none of the books had any pictures. As she says, they are un-inspiring. Too bad as the recipes may be wonderful.

not a good book
i was excited to receive this book as a present for my daughter, a novice cook. when i received it i paged throug to see what it was all about. i can see why these receipes were forgoten, they are all about opening a can (especially mushroom soup) and adding more cans of vegetables and other sodium,tasteless foods. I perfer using receipies with fresh vegies that have quality and taste to them. i'm sending this back and canceled my auto ship

Fantastic!
This cookbook is perfect. I have had alot of fun reading it. I have enjoyed all the recipes too. There are sooooo many of them, this is really worth every penny. Chock full of recipes, really a great book.

BEST CASSEROLES COOKBOOK
I love this cookbook, It has the best variety of casseroles recipes I have ever seen. I have spent hours just looking through this amazing cookbook. I can't wait to try hundreds of these wonderful recipes. If your on the fence with this cookbook, get it you won't be disappointed. It has hundreds and hundreds of old recipes that I remember from childhood. Thanks QVC for having this fabulous cookbook

Not Complete
Since I'm not a cook who is super-comfortable in the kitchen, I thought this cookbook would be easy to follow. However, there seem to be quite a few recipes that would be difficult for the novice cook to follow... For example, a recipe may say "1 cup of cheese," but doesn't specify the type of cheese... I saw one reading "1 cup of chicken," when it should have read "1 cup COOKED chicken." Several recipes call for "fat" — again, not specifying the type of fat. It also seems that many of the recipes have ingredients that I've never heard of or seen on grocery shelves... perhaps these item are no longer being sold?? I know we had more common sense in the 1960s, so a cook back then would probably have no trouble understanding these recipes, but for a beginner or novice cook who needs complete, specific directions, this book doesn't seem to fit the bill.

BEST COOKBOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I RECEIVED MY COPY A FEW DAYS AGO AND I CAN'T PUT IT DOWN. THIS IS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE BOOK OF RECIPES I HAVE EVER SEEN. WHILE THERE ARE NO PICTURES THE QUANTITY AND VARIETY OF RECIPES IS INCREDIBLE. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS NOW I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT IN THE SERIES TO BE DELIVERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
