Problem after Problem......
Ordered this laptop for my daughter and when it came, it was broken, it wouldn't even turn on. Plugged in the adapter, thinking maybe battery was just dead, still nothing. Called QVC, who said to call Dell for support. Dell said send it back for replacement. We did, and the replacement turns on and now on this one the fan is SO LOUD it's distracting from trying to do your work on it. Ridiculous.....going back. Done.

First ever Laptop
I was blown away by the quality of this computer. Windows 8 was a challenge for me at first, but the on board tutorial was great. I have a Dell PC that is great, but not portable. I have had the laptop for 2 weeks, and it still continues to amaze and surprise me!!! Love Dell and QVC!!!!!!

Love my laptop and You Tube
I purchased the 17 inch when it was on a one time only value. This is my second Dell computer but my first laptop. I love it! I will be purchasing a wireless mouse to go with my laptop but that is just my preference.
Windows 8 really freaked me out at first but I found a great tutorial for Windows 8 on You Tube called Windows 8 in 8 minutes. I will be going back to You Tube to learn more. I didn't really care for the tutorial that came with the computer. Easy pay makes it easier to purchase a new computer too!

Not enough software
I love the color and performance of my new laptop so far...but I am really disappointed in the lack of software! About a week after I ordered my laptop, the TSV is a HP laptop with exact price/easy pay and specs as far as memory etc. But the HP software package is much better! The HP gives you lifetime Anti Virus and Office, the Dell came with 4 year anti virus and 30 DAYS OF OFFICE!!! I can not recommend this Dell for that reason. I'm going to have to pay $139 for Office now, where it would save me money to own the HP, serious buyers remorse here, I may be sending it back to get the HP :(

Difficult
Windows 8 is hard, you really need to be a computer wiz to operate, not user friendly. Hard to close APs, no software etc.

Sassy Red!
I love this computer. I got a 17" in red. It is so nice! I didn't notice a noisy fan at all. I can't find anything to complain about this computer. It will take some adjusting to Windows 8, but I think I will be able to get the hang of it. All new computers take some time to work out the "kinks."

Noisy Fan fixed - Rest is GREAT
I actually got the 17" but it is no longer listed. My one complaint was it had THE NOISIEST fan. But after some quick searching on the web I discovered it was a known issue. This computer was made before the latest BIOS was released. It is the 5 version and there is now an 6 version.
As soon as I updated to 6 it began to runs PERFECT. Make sure you follow the instructions to the T. I read reviews of people guessing, didn't end well.
Obviously only on day 2 its hard to judge but I literally took it out of the box and went to work. Windows 8 is a little challenging at first, after using the other versions for so long, but I am already feeling comfortable with the tiles etc.
My tip to everyone is watch the Getting Started Tile.
Overall I love how fast it is and how much I can get done and run at the same time. The screen is excellent.
