I Love my HP
I needed a new laptop because I was going back to school to get my MBA. My other laptop although it cost about the same it was not an HP. I had a custome build one years ago that cost me $3000 but my husband distroyed it. So when I saw this prepackaged HP, I knew it was time to get a new HP for school. I have been using it since August and I love it. I will spend as much as 12 hrs a day working on it for school to write and research my papers. I can have 10 windows open at a time and still have not issues. My old Toshiba laptop that is 4 yrs old has keys that one of my sons took off, and it gets stuck if you open to many windows. I was going to keep this HP strickly for school but I am finding that I am starting to do my bills and stuff on it too. The graphic are great and my PowerPoint presentations look professional! And scanning my finger for access all my important websites saves me time. I let my 8 yr old use it one day to watch videos and he didn't want to give it back.
I have had minor issues like when I start typing to fast I guess I must hit the the touch pad or something and my cursor will move to another spot in the paragraph and I have to fix my paper. And on occasion the finger scanner gets "lost" and says that it is disconnected and I have to reboot for it to reset. And one small piece of plastic has already broken off above the small speaker in the front. Not a very good design there.
The Trend is the best. It scans without fail and has stopped as much as 100 potential threats in a month.

Wonder-rif-ic
I bought my laptop (which I have given the name "Santana") in April of last year. I am completely satisfied and then some. Santana has a powerful amount of ram, which makes "him" very quick on response and lighting fast on the internet. You can't beat the specs that are already on-board with this computer. I am a computer tech, and I stand quite impressed. This is a great buy for the money and you can not beat the fact that it can be purchased on a 6 easy pay plan. I almost missed the deal. I was looking for a laptop and just checking reviews when I came across a wonderful review for "Santana". I had my mind made up that I was going to buy another computer that was $300 cheaper than this one, but when I saw the deal and pay plan my mind was instantly changed and I have absolutely no regrets.

Fantastic
Bought this in January of last year. I absolutely love it. I've always used/built desktops, and was a huge step for me to go over to a laptop. I love it. HP builds a great product and QVC makes the move to something of this nature affordable.

great upgrade
I have had this laptop for over a year now and I use it as my main PC daily. I love it and have had no functioning issues whatsoever.
The hard plastic trim on the corners in the back have cracked a little, but that would be my only complaint at all.
This is my first HP, but I would buy another based on my experience with this one.

Bad Purchase
Bought this laptop for my husband for his birthday and ever since we got it we have had nothing but problems with it. First the volume stopped working then the webcam stopped working. We called HP support but they were not helpful at all. HP support would walk us through some steps to get the web camera working and it would work but then 24 hours later it would stop again. I tried returning it but they told me I couldn't. I wish I would of never bought this laptop!!!

Worst Purchase Ever
This computer immediately had booting problems. You can never log on without an error message. Ive had it a year now and it still doesn't work properly. If you buy it make sure u get the extended warranty. You will need it. If you have any problems make sure you call HP. There is a company on this site that makes you think they are HP and they charge u 139.99 to come out and they dont do anything. This had truly been a VERY Bad experience for me. I have only been able to use my computer maybe 6 months out of the entire year.

Still Going Strong
I purchased my HP one year ago and have not had any problems. I am a working parent and fulltime college student so I use my laptop a lot. I love it so much that I ordered two HP laptops as gifts for this Christmas.

I purchased a this HP because I felt the price was right and ESPECIALLY the software package. Long story short, I began experiencing the "black screen" and finally when nothing would work had to send it back. I had owned the notebook just over 6 months and took very good care of it, especially NEVER having fluid CLOSE to it! HP sent me a box and told me it would be back in 3 days, covered under warranty, blah, blah, blah. One week later I CONTACTED HP asking what happened tp the 3 day return policy? They said I had EXTENSIVE water damage and it would be $361.00 to fix it. Because of a past identity theft I keep a max $300 on my credit card. Well, suddenly they could fix it for $297.00. Anyway, $297.00 later I got my laptop back with NONE OF THE SOFTWARE QVC HAD PROVIDED. It's like going to the dentist: Do you REALLY know you have 3 cavities or is the dentist just short on cash that day! Still love QVC, HP never again!

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE
I have had my comp for a year and it still does not work. The tech support is no help at all. They have you sit on the phone for 3 1/2 hours having you do the same thing over and over again. They tell you they are going to call you back b/c they can't resolve your issue and never do. They do this b/c they know even though they give you their name you can't be transferred back to them. It is an HP policy that the person you reach is the tech support person you need to deal with when you call back. So it is another 3 1/2 hours on the phone. Finally after a year they tell me it was my hard drive and sent me a new one with recovery disks The recovery disks didn't work. So they sent me out another set and they were wrong too. So I was finally sent to tech people higher up with an ext to get back in touch with them. He told me I would need to send back. I did and when I got it back it was damaged in the front and it still doesn't work. In fact worse then when I sent it in. So they said the only thing they could do was for me to keep sending it back. Of course when I called the ext they gave me the person was always on the phone and would call back. Never happened. I asked to speak to someone in corp. I was told "Sure you can do that but they are going to just send you back to us?" I am sure if you are lucky enough to get a comp that work it is very nice. However, if you don't, please don't waste your money on a warranty. It means nothing to them. I would strongly suggest that you spend the little extra money and purchase a Dell. You get what you pay for. This is the first and last time I will ever waste my money on a HP. I will go back to using Dell computers.
I hope I am helping someone out there not to waste their money.
