Won't work
My Olympus 14 mp 36x optical zoom digital camera will not work...I really wanted this camera but I have purchased 3 new batteries and the camer will not charge and the camera stays open...It will not work...It has lots of features on it ; that is why I purchased it...But now I've spent alot of money for a camera that does not work....Before I bought the camera; I read the review; that should have made me not buy it; but the unique features on it; I thought it made it worth the purchase.....I have sent emails to the troublshooting area and they say replace it...Not....I cant purchase another camera and not have not work too.....

Best camera I ever owned!
I am so happy that I made this purchase. I have used it several times to take photographs of my kids and they have been mistaken for professional. I took the time to play with each setting and learn everything I could by using the camera before I needed it. I love all the additional "magic" settings. I can create beautiful, fun shots! I absolutely LOVE this camera!

Great Camera
Bought this camera for my husband for Christmas and he loves it! It was easy to learn, takes clear, colorful, close pictures. I haven't learned to use it yet but he's certainly enjoying it!

Absolutely love it!
I purchased this camera about 2 months ago, and I received it less than a week after I'd ordered it. I LOVE the easy pay, it makes owning some of the things I've always wanted a reality and works well with my tight budget.
Let me just say, I ADORE this camera, I get compliments left and right about the clarity and quality of my photos, and I've never taken a good picture in my life. Everyone has asked me what camera I'm using, and I recommend it to them. I bring it with me everywhere, in case something pops up and I want to capture it. The zoom is incredible, and as long as you stand as still as you can, your max-zoom photos will come out clear.
I live on a body of water and I capture all kinds of wildlife in my backyard, from alligators to herons to turtles, and being able to see the beautiful detail on them that I would not normally see is really an amazing and beautiful thing.
I would order this camera for everyone if I could!

Very disappointed
I bought this camera for my daughter and after using it twice it "froze" on her on a trip tp Disneyland! I returned it and received a second one thinking the first was a fluke!! WRONG! My daughter just called and said this one was frozen also having never used it at all!! I am going to try to contact QVC and see what can be done. I hope they don't let me down. I am very embarrassed ro have given this as a gift! If I could give zero stars, I would!!

My impression of the Olympus SP-810UZ
I searched over 3 months for a digital camera that did not have the cost and bulk of a DSLR or cost\risk of a 4:3rds Camera. I wanted high zoom for close ups and the SP-810US happens to have the highest digital zoom (36X) of all bridge camera's currently on the market. Also I wanted to be able to adjust most of my settings i.e. exposure, ISO manually. The SP-810US does have an AUTO mode, however the camera truly shines when you get out of "AUTO" mode and into "Manual" Mode. I preferred and primarily used "Scene" and "Manual" modes on my recent vacation. I did experience what others have complained about in regards to slow focus speeds in some situations. I knew this going into purchasing and felt that the pros of the SP-810US far outweighed this single drawback. The majority of my pictures were perfect on the initial shot and I was able to quickly adjust for other pics that were not so perfect or blurry on the first take. The view finder is large and clear, and the menu system is simple and intuitive. The SP-810US can't replace a DSLR or 4:3rds, however has the capability to produce DSLR quality pictures and should be considered an major upgrade from the standard point and shoot digital camera. The software that accompanies the camera is great for editing the images for perfect results and is very easy to use. If you are wanting to upgrade your current digital camera or looking for a first digital camera, for the money the Olympus SP-810UZ takes great pictures and has tons of features. In my opinion you can't go wrong with this digital camera.

LOVED LOVED LOVED MY CAMERA
I have a grandson 10 months old , A trip to the beach coming the end of May, Graduation May 18 for my daughter so i needed a camera I can operate but still get that good quality. OMGOSH ... Loved this camera from the day we got it.. It is awesome. Great for beginners but you get the quality of a long time camera operator.....I am so glad i bought this and I love the fact that it is an easy pay , so the cost doesnt hit you all at once. I have never bought anything yet from QVC that i havent liked.. always a happy customer here....

Excellent quality and performance
I received this sweet little camera very quickly(thank you QVC) and after charging it up for 4 hours,I took it outside and played with the zoom feature. The pictures I took came out amazingly clear. I took a few pictures with the zoom maxxed out. Signs and mailboxes that are not visible to the naked eye came into crisp,clear view,and I was amazed at the quality. I also took a few indoor shots and the auto-focus feature worked perfectly.I also took some close-up shots indoors,with and without a flash,and they came out just beautifully.
I bought this camera as a back-up to my regular DSLR.I needed a camera that would be ready almost instantly if I saw something I wanted a shot of immediately.And the fact that it has a long zoom..36x which is equivalent to about 800mm in a 35mm film SLR...means I will be able to save some money toward zoom lenses for my :big"DSLR.That 800 number might be incorrect,but it is close.
I chose Olympus because I had two wonderful OM-1'sback in the 70's when I got started with my beloved hobby of photography. And the cameras and lenses performed wonderfully well and never let me down. I don't think this little thing will,either.

Was very excited about this camera
I was very excited about this camera. Could not wait for it to be delivered. Everything was fine until the third time I used it. I was in the park walking and taking photos and it died. The zoom was stuck out and it just died. Returned home and charged it for several hours. and nothing happened. It will not take a charge, lens is still out and I am so disappointed in this camera. I have had a few other Olympus cameras and have always had good results.And when this one worked the photos where amazing. This is one that I am sending back.
