better than i thought
I brought this for my husband as a anniversay gift, He loves it,, he put on the headphones and away he goes with the music..,,the only drawback is you need a equalizer,, they dont tell u this,, and being a woman i didnt know this,,,but all in all its a great gift

LOVE
I got this for my husband. He loves it and it sounds amazing. The only draw back is this is not the adjustable sub-woofer (for the bass enthusiast.) Don't get me wrong it still sounds amazing but wanted to throw that out there.

STILL AMAZED AT THE SOUND THIS SYSTEM PUTS OUT
I purchased this sound system back in 1998 at almost 3x the price. After 15 years, I am continually in awe everytime I use it. To this day, I can play retro albums & CD's such as Pink Floyds infamous "Dark Side of the Moon" or the Beatles "Abbey Road" ,"Revolution" and the like and hear things I never heard before, even though they were played a zillion times in the past on huge high end speakes. I listen to many genres of music from classical to rap, and this system is great for everything. The sound quality is fantastic ,be it on a high or low setting. That's the true test of a great speaker. You'll still hear every instrument no matter what, w/o any distortion. Although I would love to replace my bulky component system for the BOSE tabletop (also fantastic), I just can't rid myself of this sound system. It would also mean giving up a high end B & O turntable purchased in '86 for my vinyl collection. I began using BOSE speakers back in the day when they were big (even then, smaller than their ginormous peers). I'm sure you can probably still purchase the brackets to hang these in the corners near your ceiling should you prefer. Either way, they are so tiny, you barely notice them.
If you are on the fence, I wouldn't pass these up at this UNBELIEVABLE PRICE!!!
*Should you prefer one of the small BOSE tabletops, no worries there either. I was skeptical when my parents purchased one and could not believe my ears when they played it for me. I was shocked to hear every instrument so crisp and clear on this tiny unit. Music filled the entire room and them some. It sounded as if they hired an orchestra. They are purchasing one fo me as a birthday gift as I have 'wanted one for my bedroom since I heard theirs.
**This is a great gift for anyone who loves and appreciates music.

small cubes pack a big punch
I paired this system up with a pair of Bose 201s for my rear channel which made a great home theatre system. I was really impressed with the quality of the cubes and sub. You really can't go wrong with Bose speakers.

Bose Acoustimass 5 speaker system
I have had my speakers for two years and they work great. As a dj I used these as primary front end speakers for my sound system and they performed well, I also used my 301 direct reflecting speakers in the rear to surround the area with the best sound possibele. I am very fussy when it comes to my audio almost to the point of ridiculous.and all I use is Bose equipment and speakers Nothing else will satisfy my critical ear.
These are outstanding speakers and i would recommend that they are not put on a receiver with 250 watts or more per channel. NOTE IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THEY BE CONNECTED TO AN AMPLIFIER OR RECEIVER WITH 100 TO 150 WATTS PER CHANNEL.

Bose Acoustimass 5 Speaker System
At first when I hooked up everything, was disspointed by the sound quality. I then figured that the cables where improperly connected. I love this speaker system, sound great.

Great purchase, wrong color
Very nice Bose system at a great price!! My husband loved this system and was pleased with the sound. Unfortunately we received the wrong color and had to return it.
