Gave as a Christmas gift and was unfixable after 1 year 1 week of use!!!

good product ?
I've had mine since 12/10.first you have to remember it's only 1ram(which means you only get 2 maybe 3 programs or pages, if you're lucky at a time).2nd, use a cheap dual fan under it to keep it cool.remember you get what u pay for. U can't buy a good (not used)'refurbished for less.mine only froze when to much at one time use it like a tablet.battery,still gets 6/5 hrs.good luck!

Battery failed
Special order battery if it fails,(145.00 plus shipping) not worth buying this computer, to expensive to replace parts or repair. worked great for the first year go figure 3 months out of warranty it would fail!

Unhappy customer
I purchased this netbook last Feb and after limited usage 6 months later acer informed me that my screen was cracked although not visible, and for a small fee they would fix it because thats not covered under warranty. I chose not to accept that because I didn't not crack the screen and after thorough research I found many complaints about the same issue. Its sad that acer wont accept responsibility for this. All I know is I will NEVER buy another acer product again!

I purchased this computer for my hubby before he was deployed...it's great for him because its compact...defintley great for someone who travels a lot...

Unhappy with purchase!
Bought 2 of these last year...Nov '10 for my daughters for a Christmas gift. The boxes were never opened till Christmas morning. One of them freezes all the time so I called about the warranty and they say it it no longer under warranty! Amazing...9 days over the 1 yr purchase and they want to charge me to talk to someone about fixing it. And by reading the other reviews we are not the only one with this problem. Way to back your products!

Love my Netbook!
I have had this for 4 months and use it every day. I would recommend it to a light user as I am. I check email, play games and shop. The flash player is very strong and I can play any game at high speed. My computer has frozen a few times and I just shut it down and reboot and everything is fine. From what I understand, that is the nature of the beast and other computers do that as well. I do feel now that the computer was overpriced. I found it after I bought it for $100 less locally, but I chaulked up the extra money spent as sort of a finance charge since I was able to do easy pay for 6 mths. and I would not have been able to purchase the computer otherwise. It is my first home computer and I now feel connected to the world. I have located friends from my childhood on facebook...you can't even put a price on that. Thank you Acer and QVC! Next year I will purchase a 15" computer from QVC and it will be an Acer!

Wasted Money - Useless Computer
I bought this computer last Christmas for my husband, and after several months it just stopped working... I feel so upset I wasted 395+ dollars and don't know what to do with the computer now... I kinda feel bad for him, because now he doesn't have his own computer and has to borrow my old laptop... As my husband told me..".next time buy it at the big name store, because at least I will have their technical people to look at it..."So dissapointed at Acer...

Freezing problem :(
I've only had this for a week so far. It freezes up 1 to 2 times a day and I only use it for a few hours daily. I'm not sure if I will keep it or not at this point. In all fairness, I feel I should give it a few more weeks to decide. If I was to evaluate it now, I feel it's very slow and the freezing issue is more than frustrating.

Great purchase
I bought this for my husband who travels during the week. He pairs it with his Droid phone to get internet service on it wherever he goes. He loves it and prefers this netbook to a tablet because he wants the keyboard.

Used to love it but....
I got this as the TSV the end of December, mostly to check email while out of town. I love the size and light weight, It performed wonderfully for a while. I have only taken it on about five trips and don't use it at home. NOW it won't work at all. It goes to the welcome screen and no further, Trying to get through to Acer support but I am not hopeful of a good outcome based on the other reviews of dealings with them. Very disappointed in Acer's product and QVC for offering less than stellar product. For the price, it should work longer than 5 times.
