WEN by ChazDean 16 oz. Cleansing Conditionerwith Comb and DVD
Love - please make pocket size comb
Love Wen. LOVE THE COMB. Can tell the difference when I use my Wen comb verses other combs. It doesn't make my hair break off. PLEASE MAKE A TRAVEL KIT WITH A LARGE COMB AND A POCKET SIZE COMB (SO I CAN CARRY IN MY PURSE). The Wen cleansing conditioner is great, no more split ends.
I have researched this purchase on and off for years now and each time after reading reviews and watching infomercials till I can't stand it I always decided it was probably a scam of sorts and wouldn't work any better than any other high priced shampoo. I was also extremely put off by the qty the instructions advise. It seemed ridiculous. I have very average hair. Not too thin, not too thick, just past my shoulders, prone to dry frizzle ends from flat ironing, coloring, hi lighting and blow drying. Flat iron will take the frizz away but then I'm caught in a vicious circle. For whatever reason finally decided to give it a shot. Went with lavender since it seemed best for my hair type. I only wash my hair every couple days already. Let me say I have no clue why this is called lavender. If there is any in there it is completed wasted from an aroma stand point. It's like washing your hair with Vicks vapor rub. I don't mean that in a bad way either. It's very refreshing and tingly. Really feels like your scalp is waking up. I had the same experience with a recent new obaji face wash. It was like it had Seabreeze from the 70's in it. Same thing with this shampoo. Even though the amount they said to use (40 pumps total) was ridiculous I was fully prepared to follow instructions to the letter to give product a fair shake. I did watch the video prior though and could see what the model looked like using that many pumps. All I can think is her hair must be like a sponge to soak all that in. I used 10 pumps as directed for the first section but even after massaging (this is a arm workout!) I still had much more on my hair than she did so I used only 10 pumps more for the rest of my head (20 total) and I still think I could have gotten by with less. I was fully prepared to get out dry my hair to utter disappointment and have to shower again but I was amazed! Even though I felt as if I just washed my hair with a 1/4 bottle of conditioner I was able to blow dry my hair with round brush and not need a flat iron for it to look good. And just as important my scalp and hairline are clean. My hair was greasy when I got in shower today so even regular shampoo had its work cut out for it. I did not expect wen to clean it and to deliver on its promise of more manageable hair. I've only used it once but assuming this keeps up I'm a convert. The price was a bit of a deterent for as much as they tell you to use but 1) I didn't need that much and I have long hair 2) I didn't have to buy a conditioner which I usually spend big bucks on and 3) I didn't use any other products ( of which I have many Aveda) so factoring all that in its not that expensive. I like that qvc offers non autoship options because I would never get on one of those and I was pleased to be able to try out a smaller bottle that came with the comb. Didn't bother w DVD since it was easier to bring up YouTube version on iPad.
I tried Wen previously and wasn't impressed. I don't think I was using it properly. Second time around and I'm in love with the Fig. I have short hair that I am in the process of growing out. I had been washing my hair daily. Now that I am using Wen I can go 3 days without washing and my hair still looks great. Ok, my head itched constantly and now that feeling is gone -- I am so pleased. Try this, but be sure to follow directions.
I am now a WEN girl
We've all seen the infomercials on WEN, and seen how gorgeous the women's hair looks after just one use. I didn't want to go to the WEN website because I didn't want to get stuck with a monthly payment if the product didn't work for me. I have over processed, permed, color treated and coarse hair, so even though the product says it's for all hair types, I was skeptical. My co-worker told me her sister has been using WEN for years, and it really makes her hair soft, and she's been buying it off QVC.
So, I go to QVC and look at all the product types and find that Fig is specificially designed for my hair. I bought the 16oz with comb and DVD, and I have to say after just 1 use, my hair is softer and the comb just glided through it. You really do have to use the insane amount of product they say. It seems like a lot, but if you skimp, you'll hate your results. I don't even need to use all my hair products to bring out the perm. I just let it air dry. My boyfriend even loves how soft it is and runs his hands through it constantly.
My ONLY complaint, is that it does not really get rid of the frizz. So, if you have frizzy fly-aways, you may need to use an anti-frizz serum. I can live with that though.
I had just recently bought this and have used it 4 times. I LOVE how soft my hair is and how it doesnt tangle anymore. I am not using this daily because the bottle would be gone in a week LOL. I normally have oily hair and am going to try the Cucumber Aloe and also Fig , my hair is oily on top but dry midway down. I will say the only thing is my hair felt a little weighed down and i didnt feel it had any more volume then it normally does. But the fact of how soft and shiny my hair is Ill be forever using this product.
Not What I Hoped For
I ordered the lavender because it was supposed to be for body and I was very disappointed. Not only did it NOT smell anything like lavender (smelled like vicks vapor rub) it made my baby fine hair very limp and lifeless. No body at all. Does not do anything it says it does and takes waaaay toooooo long for the process to produce such horrible results.
I literally have NEVER written a review on anything before, but i just had to for this product. I ordered WEN because my hair was all of a sudden giving me problems. It's the winter, so it was dry, static-y, and seemed to get greasy really easily if i tried to put conditioning treatments in it. I have fine/thin hair that i get blonde highlights all over in so my hair is all blonde. I revieved the Lavender WEN in the mail today, and used it.... and i literally almost cried. The results are AMAZING. Literally my hair is back to normal. I am so glad i decided to try this. Yes, it is expensive, BUT its the only hair product you need to buy ever!! unless of course you want to buy one of the other WEN products. I highly recommend this to anyone who is having trouble with their hair, or just anyone in general who wants to take good care of their hair. And the Lavender smell is delicious. Its extremely relaxing and fresh. YAY I am so happy =)
You know those women who have perfect hair. That has never been me. I have always worked hard to keep style. Not anymore! Watch the video, follow the directions, and enjoy!
Was skeptical but...
I've watched Wen demonstrations for years and have been very skeptical. To be honest, some of the models hair looked greasy and I thought there's no way this product could actually clean your hair. Around Thanksgiving weekend I was shopping on line and saw the Wen products again on the QVC website. Tired of my hair, I decided to order it and try it. QVC has a money back guarantee and I thought "well I'll try it, it won't work, I'll use it on my dogs and see how that does, it probably won't work and then I'll send it back". I hadn't used it prior to last weekends TSV because I wanted to wait till the weekend because I didn't want to go to work looking like I hadn't washed my hair "when" it didn't work. But seeing the excellent deal with the TSV, I decided I'd better try it in case it did work so I could order the TSV. I watched the DVD then jumped in the shower to try Wen (lavender). My hair is in a chin-length bob and is very fine and can be oily. So I did as instructed and thought I'm getting too much product on my hair but continued remembering that the DVD said "the more you use the better the result". Still skeptical, I continued rinsing and my hair felt so silky... I thought there's no way it's going to style. I got out of the shower and wow... my scalp felt AMAZING! I styled my hair and was amazed at how shiny and full it looked. I've used Wen now for 4 days and can't get over how shiny and healthy my hair looks. I can't wait to get the TSV. This is expensive which is why I gave it 4 stars. I'll use the TSV and will decide if I'm able to continue using this because of the cost.
This is really good for my hair.
I started using this a little over a year ago. At first I was disappointed and wasn't planning to purchase it again. Then I decided to read the materials that came with the product and I realized I didn't follow the directions for cleansing my hair. The next time I washed my hair I followed the directions to the letter and I couldn't believe the results! My hair was soft and manageable from the first day; usually it took 2-3 days of applying hair oils or gels before my hair looked and felt presentable. I'm an older lady and my hair looks and feels like it did when I was much younger.
A great set!
I purchased this in Pomegranate. I love the scent. It is like liquid silk for my hair. Will definitely order this again!
Completely Blew Me Away!
We vacation every summer with a couple we seldom get to be with otherwise. This summer, I couldn't get over my friend's hair - it looked fabulous!! It's always looked dry and lifeless before. I asked her what she was doing and of course, the answer was she had been using Wen for several months! She let me try it, cautioned me to use it exactly as she instructed and the results blew me away. I ordered this set as soon as we got home and will never, ever go back to shampoo again.
My hair is thick, coarse, wavy and color treated. In other words, it's pretty hard to manage. Based on the reviews I read here on QVC, I decided to go with the Lavender. It's been a good choice for my hair. The shine, softness, smoothness and control I have now is almost too good to be true! For the first time in my life, I can let my hair air dry, do nothing else to it and it looks terrific. Where has Wen been all my life?
My recommendation for anyone considering Wen is that you really need to watch the DVD and make sure you follow all instructions to the letter. It's not that hard, but you do have to use it as instructed to get the results you want. It took me 3 or 4 tries before I figured out the ideal amount for my thick, chin-length hair is 10 pumps. The longer I leave Wen in, the better my hair turns out. I try to give it at least 5 minutes, but I've used it once as a deep conditioner and left it in almost an hour. (I plan to do that about once every 6 weeks.) The results were amazing!
To those who - like me - knew about this product but felt it was too expensive, I'll say just this: You really do get what you pay for. For what Wen gives me, the price is a bargain.
