I purchased this in gray. I found no problems with this hat at all. There was no plastic anywhere and it is not to floppy. For the price you can't beat it!

This JS Hat is So Cool!
If you are looking for a floppy brim hat pick this one up! It looks great on & covers and blocks the sun from your eyes! It will be wonderful for fall and milder winters; just for fun too!
I also have to say that there is absolutely NO plastic used anywhere in the construction of this hat. No plastic hat base at all. What someone thought was a plastic hat base was only the packing and shipping material to keep the hat from getting crushed while in transit for delivery. It is in no way attached to the fabric of the hat! Just remove the plastic protection & wear the hat!
The material of the hat is nice too. I just can't say enough of how cool this hat is! You won't regret the purchase, especially at the price it is being offered!

Cute !! Cute!! Cute!!
I'm not a hat person, but I love this hat! The structure is cute and I really like the wide floppy brim. I didn't think it would fit me right because my head is large and my hair is thick, but it fits perfect! I bought the black and I'm thinking about the dark red .. the color is pretty. Jessica, I would like to see brown added to the colors because I have a lot of browns and animal prints in my wardrobe .....

Don't Bother - Disappointed
Received my hat and it is going back. Looks very pretty until you flip it over and see a plastic hat as the base. It was too small for my head. Honestly, it seemed like a New Year's hat was used as the base. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed.

A little TOO floppy
hmm, I get that it is supposed to be floppy and perhaps if I had a lot of hair it would be fine, but the brim needs to have a little more substance to it to really work right. I'm a hat person, too, so I'm disappointed that this didn't work for me since I was looking forward to wearing it.

Beautiful
Love the hat. Wool is nice, bow is cute. I bought the Dark Grey. I'm 4'11" and this hat is just a bit much for me and I'm scared it'll blow off my head. I wouldn't be able to wear it to drive in since it is a nice wide brim. I usually wear smaller hats and maybe that is why I can't get comfortable in this hat. If there is another hat, that has a smaller brim I'm sure to get it.
