Susan Graver Fleece Knit Embroidered Swing Jacket
I have had this jacket 4 years now and still love it and wear it a lot even in the winter too! Its a nice weight and comfortable. I've machine washed it and hung dry & still very happy with this jacket. I just ordered two more!
I so wish this jacket looked like the picture. First of all I ordered purple and was sent Ivory. I was willing to keep the Ivory. But when I took it out I was shocked. With shipping and handling and tax...this coat cost me 60.00 plus. I would pay 20. It is thin and flimsy. The material has got to be the cheapest possible and the quality is very poor. I could not be any more disappointed. This is the second time I have been fooled with a SG coat and said I wouldn't ever again.....my bad!!!
In general, the rising cost of shipping on the Q is making shopping not so much fun....and to ALL THE DESIGNERS AND BUYERS....STOP WITH THE POLYESTER! THICK HOT CHEAP POLYESTER.
I wanted the black but waited too long. Am glad - I am VERY happy with the color of the dark blue. I tend to wear too much black so this is my compromise. This is lightweight, the fit will be wonderful over fall and winter sweaters - perfect for when you will be doing a lot of inside and out and don't want to have the weight of a heavy coat on your shoulders. I can see myself ordering another.
The hem on this jacket was bunching and poorly sewn. The fleece is poor quality. Very disappointed in the quality of items I've purchased in the Susan Graver Line...QVC what's happening with quality control. Maybe time for some changes.
Love them. I have it in taupe and black. I truly, truly like them. I feel it keeps me warm. I can put a sweater on underneath and be just as warm without a lining. I have received compliments on each color as well as asking where I purchase my jackets. After washing them, they did not loose its form at all even when I put it in the dryer. It did not shrink at all. When finish I hung them up and let it go for itself. I think the embroidered and being a swing jacket caught some people attention. Very, Very, NICE. Susan!!!!!
Chilly Day Chic
I attended a really important event. Weather was chilly. I needed a coat to pop over a liquid knit suit. I wanted the right length to cover the suit, but not too long. I needed to make a positive impression, and no added bulk. This coat saved the day. I ordered down one size and the fit is perfect. I bought the purple. I want another color, maybe orange!
Runs wayyyy large
Dropped this to 4 stars because of the sizing being so much larger than the normal jackets. This jacket is beautifully constructed. But it runs really big. I normally take an extra large and had to return it for the large. It is not here yet, but I'm sure it will be fine. My daughter, who is quite hippy and normally gets an XL because of this, got the XL and that had to be returned for the medium. She is smaller through the shoulders. So....whatever size you normally get in Susan Graver jackets, drop down one size for this one. Other than that, you will definitely be happy with the jacket.
Beautiful! WOW! Ready to order a different color!
Purchased this beautiful jacket in cranberry for my trip to Southern California duing the Christmas holidays. Great choice for the CA weather. Unfortunately, I broke my wrist at the airport on the way to CA. Wearing most of my clothes (picked for the trip)was impossible due to the cast. But this jacket fit me perfect & boosted my spirits everytime I wore it. I received compliments immediately when I wore it. It fits me perfecty and feels so soft next to my skin. Now that I am back home I wear it often and always get compliments!! I feel dressed to the nines every time I put this beautiful jacket on. The flowers are so suttle yet give the jacket a designer look. I want to purchase this jacket in purple for the Spring!
Thank you Susan!! Love this jacket!!!!
IT'S JUST OK
This seems to run large. I normally wear an XL top (& a size 6 bottom!). Bought this in Large. I have 44" bust & still have room for a bulky knit sweater.
I REALLY like this little jacket. It's versatile: Wear it alone in chilly weather; add a sweater when temps drop. The cut is flattering & is perfect for wearing while driving. It's very lightweight on the body & has plenty of shoulder room so there's no constriction when turning a steering wheel. I purchased the Amethyst & LOVE the color.
I might have given this more stars if it had been less expensive, but when you boil it all down, it's just a heavy weight sweatshirt with buttons & embroidery. And even though I haven't yet washed it, it's beginning to look a little "pilly" - like the inside of a heavy sweatshirt.
All that being said, if they cut the price in half, I probably would consider getting another color. Bottom line? Oversized & overpriced, but *I* like it.
Comfortable and warm
I have purchased 4 of these jackets so far. I have not experienced the lining issue, so hopefully Susan will get that taken care of.
I love the simple buttons that match the coat color and do not jump out at you. I almost always prefer buttons over zippers, I seem to be ("zipper challenged"!) but also buttons give me more flexibility. And, with the overlapping of the fabric for buttons, I stay warmer.
I use one of my jackets as a "bed jacket" , and would LOVE for it to be made into a robe. Just make it longer.
I gave one to my Mom and she loves it also!
So feminine looking
The embroidery on this is so nice. Really dresses up the coat.. Makes it look and feel so much more feminine that my other fleece coats and jackets. This can also be very dressy. I have received lots of compliments on this. I have it in the black. I think I will go back for several more colors.
This Is Not Ivory
Just received this jacket I had hoped to get the sea foam but went with Ivory to wear in the changing season on a trip To be a lightweight piece for the evenings. It did come a bit wrinkled hope steaming will fix that , but the color is not ivory... It's like a peach blush. Not sure if I like that but not willing to spend the money to return it.
