NOT THE SAME AS ORIGINAL; VERY POOR QUALITY
Cheaper yarn, not as thick or as warm as the original ones. QUALITY CONTROL can you please do something about this. Would purchase again if they upgraded the quality to the same as the original ones. I bought mine in 2011 and they are still as wonderfully warm and thick today as they were then; and I've worn them a lot! Please bring back the old ones!!! These are going back.

POOR FIT and quality compared to original
Before, I loved the original, ivory colored socks, in size medium. Now, 2 years later, I ordered the medium in gray (no ivory available). They are NOT the same as original. They are cut small in the foot and the elastic band above the ankle is TIGHT and uncomfortable. I wear a size 8 to 8 1/2 Narrow shoe, (5'6" 130# ) and the medium should be big enough, but NO. I tried one on, and took it off immediately. Also, the former soft ribbing above the footing is now flat and tight, digs into my lower leg.. So disappointed, and have to pay shipping costs, both ways, to return them. Avoid this newer version with Poor quality and very skimmpy fit.

Poor Quality
I was so very disappointed. I have purchased these socks in the past. This is my third order. The first order the socks were of a high quality material and wore very nicely. When I changed jobs I needed more socks, since I had to wear very warm socks daily. The second order the material was not as good as the first purchase and they wore out fast. I just ordered them again since the second purchase ones needed replacing. I thought maybe I just got a bad set. But this order the material is a lesser quality than the second purchase. I do not think they will last very long, so I probably will not order them in the future.

Heals with Holes
Last years purchase of these socks were excellent. Kept feet warm with no holes in heals after many wearings. Bought two more packs of socks this year and all socks developed holes in heals after just a couple wearings. As a matter of fact the socks did show signs of a hole forming after just one wearing. Disappointed in quality.

All of the heels wore thru. I was shocked. The first set was wonderful. Then the heels all wore out completely.

Bottom worn through already!
I purchased these socks in October 2011 and loved them. When I ordered them again in October 2012 I expected the same great socks. All pairs have worn through in the heels. Very disappointing!!

Unfortunately, lower quality than the original....
Years ago, when this set was originally introduced on QVC, they only came in the gray choice. I purchase that set which wildly exceeded expectations. Soooo soft & stretchy, and to this day, wish I'd never given away one of those pairs to a friend. :( ha ha
Fast forward to 2013, I finally decided to order these socks in black. They didn't feel anything like the original socks but instead felt scratchy and much thinner - AND, the first time I pulled them on I actually got a "runner" in the calf area!! Really?! (FYI.I don't have long nails -- how do you get a runner in socks?!.) Unacceptable & returned.
I will continue to treasure my original (remaining) two pairs of these socks in grey but will not reorder these BETA version again. Very sad.

LOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
My family LOVES these socks. I order them every year for stocking stuffers. The only time my husband and daughter offers to fold the clothes is when these socks are in the dryer. They always try and get all of the socks:) They are soooo soft, warm, and comfy. I can wear them to town and they are not too thick for running shoes. Can't say enough good things. I have ordered them for years. They last a long time. We probably have a total of 10-12 pairs in our house and I think there is only 1 pair that has gotten a hole in the toes (my daughter wears them outside without shoes). Perfect for everyone. My husband likes them for hunting.

Super Comfortable BUT They Don't Wear Well
I purchased six pairs of these socks (black) in Nov 2012. I wear them in the house, without shoes and on carpeting. By February 2013 one sock had worn through the heel. Now, in March 2013, another sock has worn through. I even rotate through the six pairs, so they haven't even been worn that much! I love the feel of the socks, the warmth, the fit, etc., but to only last a few months . . . REALLY??? I have other "hiking" socks that I've worn in the same manner and they have lasted for years. And, I agree with the other reviewer who said that after washing, they look horrible - TRUE. I would give them five stars for comfort and fit, but can only give 1 star overall, due to the poor wear and thus poor value.

Love these socks!
Keep my feet warm and toasty, have them on now! The bright ones do pill a bit but the other ones do not.

Heel holes
Love these socks. BUT... All six pair developed holes in the heels. They all looked brand new except for the holes, had to throw them out.
