WEN By Chaz Dean Large Boar Bristle Brush
Good brush but the bristles come out in my sink
I like the brush but when I finish blow drying I have a lot of the bore bristles in the sink I can pick the bristles and they come out in my fingers is this normal
BEST BRUSH EVER
Wow, this brush, the medium Wen brush and the Wen six thirteen cleansing conditioner make my hair look like I just stepped out of the saloon. Sorry I waited so long to purchase. It makes styling your hair quick and easy with incredible results. No more frizz!
Tough getting it through my hair
I splurged on this brush price and not worth it. I bought a brush for half the price that I like more. I have thin long hair but a lot of it and I struggle getting the brush through my hair. My hands actually hurt when I'm done styling. I also bought the medium version of this brush and found the handle way to narrow to work with and it cramps my hand. I waited too long to return it. My guess is that if someone else was doing your hair the outcome would be a smooth soft style but the brush is too much of a struggle.
Back u go
I found this to be no better then other brushes nice handle but my hair is blonde dry I do use wen I have naturally curly hair thought I would try this to smooth it pulled more of my hair out. Really no difference
This is the best boar bristle brush on the market. I should know, I bought 3 before I finally found this one. The combination of boar bristles and nylon bristles allow me to get my longish/shoulder-length hair to have a nice bit of curl at the bottom and volume overall. I no longer need either my straightener (to smooth my hair) or a curling iron. My hair has never looked better. I use the WEN shampoo, and the combination of that and the brush has given my hair a beautiful sheen and volume.
I have the medium size brushes and since my hair is getting a little longer, thought I'd try the large one as well. This brush works really nicely for those days when you do not want curl in your hair but more of a smooth look. I've never had any trouble with my hair getting caught or tangled when using any of his brushes.
Great brush but NOT large
I only use wood, boar bristle round brushes. This one has the extra added bonus of a pointy end to separate hair while drying which is why I bought it. It grabs all my hair so there are no flyaways. My hair looks nice and silky once the blowdry is complete and I love that! BUT, this is in no way a large brush. My hair is naturally wavy and just past my shoulders so it takes forever to dry straight with this brush because it wraps around wet too many times. All this turning and twisting while drying is killing my hands and wrists and my arms get so tired. Chaz, us longer haired girls are looking for at least a 4" round brush. This one is medium, at best, and is barely over 2" which is why I only gave it 3 stars.
This is the best brush ever. I already had medium brushes and had to have this one to. My hair is currently a short bob. It really smooths my hair out. I do not use any of the styling products and only use wen cleansing conditioner, blow dryer, and wen round brushes. My hair looks great. Everyone has been complimenting it. I love that when I bought this brush Chaz gave a brief presentation on how to use them. Thanks Chaz.
AWESOME WAS SO SURPRISED
I LOVE THIS BRUSH !!! it styled my fine hair so well .I have had a problem with a lot of brushes catching my hair when i roll it .Not this one . It really surprised me .I thought for sure i would have to return but omg i may order two more so Ill never be without.I .also use wen everyday its great too .Maybe he can sell his combs separate for when just the comb is needed thanks chaz and qvc Kim from Long Island
This brush pulls the hair evenly and is one of the best brushes I have used that doesn't have the ceramic middle. I have been using the ceramic core brushes for some time and love them, however I am really trying to get my hair to be perfectly healthy (ceramic middles get rather hot), so I decided to try this one and I am so glad I did, love it. I also love the pointed end, great for sectioning. I am a hairdresser by the way so I know a good brush when I use it.
Handle not for arthritic hands
I found that I could not grip the handle of this brush, it was too thin for my arthritic hands. The brush itself is good, but could not give 5 stars because of the handle being too thin.
Please make a version with a thicker handle for us wen gals with arthritis.
Large Brush: Another 5-Star Wen Winner
I recently purchased the medium brush which to my mega surprise, gave me tons of body/volume.
I also wanted to create the "scrunch 'n' straight" look which defines my personality; hence, decided to complete my Wen Collection with the Large Bristle Boars Brush and without a single regret:)).
The large brush is also phenomenal. It gives me the desired straight look wherever needed. I use it to give the lower back of my hair a longer look; also use it at my upper crown where I part my hair. I call it flip-a-dip.
The bristle-to-bristle diameter is 3"; the wooden barrel diameter within the bristles is 1-1/2"; the length of the barrel with bristles is 4".
My fine, medium-length hair has a mind of its own, yet responded immediately and with great results.
The large brush is another "must have" - the perfect Wen Mate.
Yes, the brushes are a bit pricey but the results they produce are "priceless".
Message to Chaz: Please demo the large brush as well. It deserves the spotlight:))
