How do I use it: During prep, gently remove the natural shine from the surface of your nails using the pink side of the nail file. Be careful not to over-file, as this could damage your nails, leaving them feeling thin and brittle. Continue by filing and shaping the tips of your nails to the desired length, still using the pink side of the nail file. In the removal stage, break the seal of the top coat by gently filing each nail using the pink side of the nail file, completely removing the shine from the entire nail. This breaks the seal of the top coat and allows the Soak Off Gel Polish Remover (sold separately) to penetrate through the layers of gel.

What's The Grey Side For I received one of these in my Mally Gel Nail System, in any and all instructions I'm told to use the pink side. The pink side for nail prep, the pink side for removal, etc... Then why have the grey side??? I'm assuming its a buffer, to buff shine onto a bare nail, but when used in the gel nail kit, that would kind of defeat the purpose since for the gel to adhere properly you have to remove any natural shine. I've used the file once now, the pink side of course, and seeing the damage done to the pink side of the file in the one use, I realize I'll only get a few more uses out of that side, and never even touch the grey side. Please make these with two pink sides so that I'm not throwing these away with only one side used. I would order more if that was the case, but because of the wasted side I will locate these elsewhere for less money. 04-26-13
