philosophy hope in a jar hydrating fluid makeup, spf 20
There is little coverage and it wears off within a few hours. Even layering doesn't work. I use powder foundation on top and still wears off..... Don't waste your money
Love it !
I was searching for a natural makeup with skin care benefits in it! This looks natural and the colors do not change on the skin ! It is a light formula but covers imperfections well! I would like to get it on auto-delivery!!!
For driness only I would recommend !
Yes, I am pleased to find a foundation that doesn't suck the life out of my dry skin. Also the light/medium color matched my light/medium skin tone. However I do not like the way it just lays on top of the skin. It doesn't blend well into the skin. I have a very clear complexion and use very little. I blend and blend and it never really sinks in. I'm only keeping due to the moisture value, but would not reorder.
I have only used mineral powder foundation for many years now because I don't like the feel of liquid foundation. I've had very oily skin until my fifties & it still gets a little oily in the t-zone. The reviews for this were great, so I decided to give it a try. I recently switched to all Philosophy skincare & love it . . . .so, now I'm impressed with this foundation. It feels good going on. I bought the medium & it's a little dark for me, will probably be fine in the middle of summer, but the texture is great. I've already ordered the lighter shade 5 & can't wait to try it!
It doesn't settle into lines or make my already large pores look larger. It really makes my skin look pretty good. Doesn't feel greasy, which was my fear. I can use my Philosophy serum, then skip the step of a moisturizer & my skin feels soft. Since I'm accustomed to building coverage with mineral powders, I think the coverage with this foundation is fine, it's not a heavy coverage, but it's similar to mineral powder & that's fine with me. I'm definitely a Philosophy fan now!
I love Philosophy products but this one missed the mark. Foundation did not blend well with my light skin. Looked awful.
PERFECT FOR ME
I have never liked liquid makeup, it always felt to heavy on my face. I prefer a more natural look and have used bare minerals original foundation for years. But as I have gotten older my skin is not as oily so I decided it was time to try something new. I love many of the philosophy products so I decided to try philosophy hope in a jar hydrating fluid makeup, It feels amazing on the skin. It is very natural, not like wearing heavy makeup. I wear medium in the bare mineral foundation so I chose the light-medium (shade 5) in this and the color works well with my skin tone. I just place small amount on each cheek and forehead & chin and blend for light natural looking coverage. Anyone who doesn't like the heavy makeup feel give this foundation a try.
Best For My 60-year-old skin
As a younger person I had perfect skin, once menopause and diabetes came to play, I have had rosacea and dry skin. This New England winter has been so cold and my skin has experienced tremendous drying and flaking. So, I started nightly moisturizing and daily, use Argan by Josie Maran, used Tarte Clay foundation. No matter what I did, once I applied the foundation, it would cake and so I had to go so light on the foundation that rosacea was not covered. I used this product today for the first time, after applying, I got my glasses, looked close into the mirror and to my surprise, no flaking, no peeling, not caked on skin. So..... if you have my problem, give this a try. I am fair skinned and blond, bought the lightest shade. I am so happy I bought this. With Tarte, I would have to re-wash my face sometimes because you could see it sitting on my skin. Goodbye to Tarte, hello Philosophy.
I do like this foundation very much. As for the price, I think that it's a little too much for the amount of product you get. I have used the powder foundation and really liked that but wanted to try the liquid. For me, the powder is a better deal money wise.
It only takes a few drops to cover your face. The product does not settle into any lines and does not look cakey. A very fresh dewy coverage that really last. I had been looking for a fluid foundation that gave me the benefits of a cc cream with a little more color. This is a home run.
Finally a foundation for dry skin that does not settle into my fine lines during the day. I just love how this looks and feels on my face. Not crazy about the smell, but i dont notice it after its on. Thanks philosophy!
A Very Nice Product With Great Color Match
I have tried many foundations over the years and recently have been trying the serum foundations. So far this is the best one regarding the color match. I normally wear mineral make-up daily, so when I wear this I have to remind myself to wear powder. I can't say enough about the color match for me personally. For just picking it out on-line, I am amazed. Of all the liquid foundations I have ever tried, this one looks the most natural. I have sensitive skin and can wear it just fine. If you are on the fence I would recommend giving it a try.
Exactly what I searched for - BEST makeup!
I wore the famous mineral foundation for decades but as I aged, it started to make my skin look dry and stick in my wrinkles. I am not a fan of liquid but I researched online and tried several different foundations. I have good skin but wanted to even out the color, have sunscreen and sheer coverage. I finally decided to try this since I use all philosophy's skincare products. Well... what took me so long? I can forget everything else I wanted to try. THIS is absolutely the best tinted moisturizer with sunscreen on the market. Unlike others I tried, this does not make my skin shine. Don't need another product. It blends in so well, looks like my real skin, texture is great, and my skin looks hydrated. Most important, it does not enhance my wrinkles. This stuff is the BEST. I hope this stays in the philosophy product line for a long long time. If you need sheer coverage with sunscreen and a hint of color correction, this is IT! Highly recommended.
