Nutrisystem Success 4 Week Plan w/ Weekends Off Auto-Delivery
WHAT A MESS
I didn't like most of the food,I tried some and threw most of it away. Much to much money for a bunch of horrible stuff Not even a little bit worth the money.
Should have read reviews closer
I didn't realize on auto-delivery the exact same selections
(except for protein drink flavor) would be coming month
after month. The food is so bad, it is hard to stay on program.
Learned my lesson: pay attention to any negative ratings and
Got sick of the food...Too many bars as meals
I get it that this is NutriSystem's most affordable plan, but there were two problems for me. One, the repetitive food each month got old after the second month. The inclusion of all the bars was a little cheap of them. I'm not a "bar" person and while I knew there would be some, I didn't realize they accounted for actual meals. Some of the sweets/bars are waaay sweeter than I would normally eat. I get that they are trying to appeal to people who may have numbed their taste buds on their way up the scale, but for me it didn't fly. I read the labels on the oatmeal, and while it was a smaller portion, the quaker oats "weight control" oatmeal had less sugar in a bigger portion. I was happy with the mellow sodium levels except for the mac and cheese meals (3 each month) that were soooo salty. The next morning I was a puffy blow fish. I did appreciate the portion education and I added most entrees over a bed of spinach, so I was eating more veggies than normal. I would pout the cereal into a small ramekin, so now I use a small ramekin as my cereal bowl for my regular (and less sweet) cereal. 2 months, 7 pounds (I wanted to lose 14)... lots of variables to consider before jumping in this particular program.
DID NOT LIKE THE FOOD
I gave the food and the system a try for almost a month. Everyone has their own
tastes but I found the food NOT enjoyable at all. For example, a lot of it tasted
gritty from all the extra added fiber, the breakfast bars and snacks were way too
sweet, the beef stew and beef patty did not resemble the real things in tast or
texture, the blueberry muffin was dry, dark colored, tasted awful and looked
nothing like the picture, pasta dishes were soft and mushy. Out of the 20 lunches
6 were sweet chocolatey bars which I don't consider real satisfying meals. Thank
you QVC for giving me the opportunity to try this product and for your generous
This is the best thing I have invested in in quite a while!! I lost 6 pounds my first week and the meals are actually really good. This is a flexible diet with weekends off which has also taught me about portion control and different foods I can make for my days off. I wasn't sure about the food at first however, I haven't come across one that is not edible and satisfying. I would definitely recmmend this to friends. And thank you to QVC for making it affordable.
This was my second shipment. And most food ok but my Italian Pizza was expired, dated Sept 2012. Hard aa a rock and the cheese was dried out looking. Since each month the food is the same I know what it should look like. I am canceling the rest.. First month missing an item. I do say when I called Nutra System company the are replacing the old pizza.
I have to say this system works. For those who say the food isn't good, I disagree. I liked everything that I thought I would like and even some items I didn't think I would. I don't like spicy foods and some of them were spicy (I am a big wimp) but I liked them. The tai - not so much, but I really did not expect to like that one anyhow. I think this is a great program for training yourself on portion control. It also made me eat veggies and fruits - which I normally do not include in my diet. I have always been thin, and used to work out, so I didn't have as much to lose as some people, but I wanted to lose 13 lbs and I did lose 6 the first month. The second month, I maintained on the diet, but without adding excercise, I am stuck at 6. However, I already feel better and once I am motivated again to work out, I know I will get back to my original weight. I don't feel bad about putting on workout clothes and heading to the gym. I would and have recommended this to anybody who will listen. It really does work.
The only way I was able to commit to myself. Nutri System . it. Really trains you how to eat properly. I love it. Face it if you can't trust Marie Osmond who can you trust. Just do it. 12 lbs in 2 months.
Not my taste!
Would have returned this if the packaging hadn't been such a pain. Most meals were close to indelible. The only tasty part was what I had to add! Too much sugar in some, too much sodium in most, not a diet I could stand to follow. Using it up as meals for lunch at work. It may work for some who are used to eating bland tasteless food. I will just have to learn to eat healthier and accept myself with the 10 extra pounds!
Takes getting used to but works
OK, I will have to say that this is my first diet ever. I'm about 40# overweight and I just got to a point to make a stand and do something and thought that this would be the easiest for me to follow. Boyfriend has far more to lose (I'm guessing at least 80#). Anyway we are both doing it and losing weight. Absolutely takes getting used to. I will have to say, as some of the other reviews, some of the food does taste odd, but some are quite tasty. Don't let the pictures fool you--the food does not come out looking like that--like the chicken pot pie--I just have to laugh, what a joke to compare what is sitting in front of you versus the picture. With this Nutrisystem program you get weekends off. I guess the whole thing makes you more aware of what you are eating so I do look at calories on foods and also look at the calories on menus if going out to eat. I am 3 weeks into it and probably about 6# down without exercising (currently dealing with a back and hip issue) so I would imagine I would be down more if I could blend in some exercise. I will stick with this for at least another few months then I may back off and drop to just a couple days a week to maintain my weight.
I though it would be a convenient way to diet, but found I threw a lot away.
Food has funny taste, and has too much sodium for me.
The moisture packets (that say do not eat on them) inside the baked goods, gross me out.
I could not finish the 1st month, which I should have returned it for a refund. I cancelled the balance of shipments.
Worst Purchase Ever
I could not be more disappointed. Although I tried to stick with it, I just could not continue. The food tasted so bad that I did not even feel comfortable donating it. In the garbage it went!!! What's the point in spending the money on this when you have to supplement with a lot of your own fruit, veggies, and proteins too?
