bad zipper
had to return this purse that I loved r/t zipper!!! Broke off in my hand.....had put wd40 on it to try to make it work. Have Dooneys that are 23 yrs old....never a zipper prob!! please qvc check quality before sending to your trusting customers

It's Just OK
This is more of a tote than a shoulder bag. I'm 5'2 and still found the straps a tad too short. It fits over my shoulder but still lays too close to the armpit so it constantly falls off my shoulder and have to push it down my arm to reach for anything in the bag. A true shoulder bag should allow you to reach in while still resting on your shoulder...this is not it. It is pretty but not practical for me so it's going back.

Ivory....beautiful two-tone bag!
I got this "as is" and what a deal!
Let me address a few of the prior comments:
Yes, it is ivory, not white, not yellow-ish. Creamy ecru.
The pebbled leather looks more like the original vintage Dooney leather, which I like.
Totally different from some Dooney leathers I also have, but lovely nonetheless. It is lighter weight and softer than some, which is good for keeping the weight of the purse down, but also allows it to sag a bit on the bottom. You can't have it all....compromising the lower weight for less structure is unavoidable. Dooney makes plenty of heavier bags that don't sag, if that's what you're after. If you use an organizer inside this bag, it will disperse the weight along the bottom, so no more saggy bottom.
Yes, the front pocket is tight....when I first tried to put my phone in it, it was very hard to get it down in there & close the flap. The next day, I shoved my hand in & made a fist...
got my phone in easily & closed the flap, too. Ladies, the leather stretches and gets softer with use. Too many look at it and immediately send it back. These bags are made so well that they last literally all your life & your daughter's, too! Give it a few tries before making a hasty judgement...altho' I'm delighted that somebody sent MY bag back! What a deal!!
Metal zippers tend to be difficult when new, whether on a sleeping bag, book bag or purse...of course they last way longer than nylon ones, too. A little soap or candle wax will lubricate the teeth and soon your zipper will glide with use. Try it.
I have gotten TERRIFIC deals "as is" because others have rejected a purse for reasons I don't understand. You are entitled to your opinion, of course, and THANK YOU for my wonderful "as is" returns!

LUV IT!
Got this as a from me to me bday gift. I love this bag! I measured the strap and mine is 8" when pulled straight up. I am petite sized and this bag is the perfect size for me, big enough to hold everything including my ipad and I don't look like I am carrying an overnight bag. The styling is classic and will wear well and go with everything. Mine holds it shape when filled as the base is designed that way. The leather is just beautiful. I got mine as an as is- thank you to whoever returned it as I love it!

Classic Dooney
I wanted an orange tote for traveling that would hold snacks and a bottle of water along with all my essentials. This bag fit the bill. I was hesitant to order because of the reviews about the strap drop length. I'm a size 8 and I had no problem whatsoever, even after trying it on over my jean jacket.
I love the classic look of the pebble leather with the sierra trim. Got caught in a little rain, no problem at all. Received compliments right away.

GREAT SHOULDER BAG
This is a great shoulder bag the leather gets softer the more I use it. The front pocket is not very functional unless you have tiny hands and use it for very small items. (The front pocket may give with time and use)??????? But it is still a great shoulder bag and the price is excellent

great Dooney style but . . .
I received two in T'Moro and two in Ivory but will be returning all of them. The leather is soft and nice but too soft that when carried by the handle straps, the leather looks pulled up where the handles are attached to the body of the bag. The ones I received also had too coarse of grain pebbling and I strongly dislike that look. I don't mind the tight front pocket but the zippers are surprisingly not typical of Dooney bags -- they were dragging and a pain to slide. I was able to manage a technique to slide a little better opening the bag though it still catches when closing it back. I even checked to see if it was caught on anything but it wasn't. Another thing, because the leather is too soft and the base is wide, the bottom sags. Might be okay if you carry like a satchel (the sagging bottom will not be too visible) but if carried on your shoulder, it looks sloppy from the front and the back. Also, between the two ivory that I received, one is almost a true ivory and the other leans more towards almond shade (hint of yellowish beige). Great Dooney style and beautiful sierra trims but needs more firm leather material, one that will hold structure.

Straps too short
I am so disappointed. I just returned another handbag and found this one and fell in love with it. I received it today, excited to use it I exchanged things from my current purse and went about my way. Went to sling it on my shoulder and it was not going to hang from the shoulder. I am 80% shoulder and crossbody bags and I have my favorite satchels. I do use my satchels but when the mood and time fits. I have to say this bag is beautiful. All the pebble leather all the way around is uniform, soft and the color is true to picture shown and the color is stained evenly. I love everything about this bag. The size is perfect and the straps are not 8" I measured them, they are about 7"-7-1/4". Had they been 8" I could of worn this on my shoulder. Still not sure if I will return this bag but chances are very good -- I will. I will not order another bag from QVC because frankly I'm tired of returning them. If its incorrectly described than the quality isn't there. I'll check eBay before ordering from QVC again. I have ordered thousands of dollars of merchandise over many years with QVC. I have seen quality and descriptions totally go down hill. Too bad!

Nice Satchel
This is a beautiful, almost perfect bag. The straps are too short to be considered a shoulder bag. This wasn't an issue for me because I generally carry satchels anyway. The reason I gave the bag 4 stars is because the front pocket is too tight. It is too snug to put my keys or cell phone in it. The pocket really needs to have a gusset. Very classy looking bag.

Nice but Zipper is very stiff
I like everythign about this bag except for the zipper. Was goign to send it back, but read the reviews and THANK YOU TO THE LADY WITH THE SOAP !! I tried that lastngiht and it worked better than the mineral oil, or the WD-40. Now its a keeper.

one shoppers out look.. + a few suggestions?
I've read the reviews, I ordered the bag in tan and moto and gave it a test run.
Sadly + with a great deal of consideration, I am returnign the bag...
for same reasons stated by most others in the reviews. Also difficult to really
rate it, as parts of the bag deserves maybe a 4 or 5...
But If I may .. a few suggestions D&B
This is a handsome, beautifully made bag ,
the pull tassles are a great change/look, color combos great,
deep bottom to accommodate lots of "stuff" ,
less weight than many of your bags,and well priced.
But here's the rub.... the zipper is a bit too short
and it does stick too often,shoulder straps just a bit too short!,
front logo pocket needs to be deeper,to at least hold a cell ,
reduce weight even more? .With a few modifcations,
it would be a REAL gem to own.
If ever you do, please give a holler and I'll step right up to get one.
I think every women is looking for that "perfect" handbag+ you're almost there!.

Great Basic Bag
Great job D&B for bringing us another great basic bag. The design meets all of my needs (I was one of the lucky ones to get it in ivory)!! Here in central Texas spring has sprung so I'm using the bag every day. So beautiful!!
