Denim & Co. Classic Waist Dot Print Pedal Pushers with Pockets
I wasn't sure if I should order based upon the reviews, but decided I would try them anyway. I am 5'3" and normally wear a 2 to 4 petite in the stores and ordered the black dot in xxs and yes, the pockets stick out very slightly (I don't have much of a tummy), but as I would never tuck in a top with an elastic back, it doesn't matter. They are adorable. For all the ladies that asked Courtney Cason where she got her black dot pants last week during Fashion Day, these are a great alternative. I will definitely be able to pull off the cute look Courtney had going during Fashion Day with these pedal pushers! Four stars only because they pockets don't lay flat.
very cute pants
i do understand the neg reviews, however i love these pedal pushers. yes the pockets slightly stick out but i wear my tops out and you do not even notice. i am thinking of another pair. i am 5' tall and they fit great and i like the lenght.
Beautiful coral print, terrible fit
Beautiful coral print, terrible fit. Ordered my usual medium size. Side pockets stick out and make me look wider in the hip. Pants are way too wide at the hem, clownish looking. Very disappointed.
I ordered these pants in summer green. I thought the dots were very cute but the pants are not pedal pusher length. They are capri length. I have short legs so capris are more like crop pants on me and that is not what I wanted. I have mailed them back with disappointment.
Look Before You Leap
I should've read the reviews " before" I ordered this item. But...hindsight is 20/20 right?
Everyone was saying that the pockets stuck out and I,too had the same problem; but, also a problem with the back waist AND the legs down at the calves being too gapping. I also ordered an XL-my true D&CO size- and I could have worn a Large with these pants. So....
back they go; a day after I received them. Next time I will read the reviews first. I'm always
thanking you folks for writing them anyway. Now I will heed what they say.
What happened to the fit???
I have bought two pairs of pedal pushers in previous seasons - the spring green last summer and the navy the summer before that. They fit nicely - not too tight and a tapered fit to to the knee. These are just so boxy and don't have that same tailored fit. I give it two stairs because I love the black with the subtle white pin dots. But the fit just doesn't cut it. They're going back. If you like a lot of boxy fullness in the legs and knees for your capris/pedal pushers, it's for you. Unfortunately, it's not for me. :(
No, not rocket man....but pocket man! And do they ever stick out. What is up with these things? Please return to the standard "pork chop" pocket as Pat says...
I saw the words 'clown pants' on another review and is the perfect way to describe these pedal pushers. I really was looking forward to getting them and I really wanted to like them. What a let down.
Ugly and HUGE
Just like most other reviewers are saying, these pants are like clown pants and the pockets stick out making your hips look huge.
Different fit than the original
I have several pairs of the original D & C pedal pushers with the classic waist. They are the easiest pants in the world to wear. Was excited about adding the polka dot version to my wardrobe but it was not to be. These pants had a different fit altogether- not as trim which wasn't flattering on me. I was also sent a size 3x by mistake for the green pair (I ordered 2 pair, black ones came in the correct size XS) which provided some amusement since I could fit my whole body into one leg! Had to send them back (though I really wanted to save the green pair for Halloween;-).
It's a shame
It's such a cute idea, liked the fabric, my first order in bright navy which I love... but as others say, the fit is odd. Back rise is too low, too much bunchy elastic and the pockets stick out to the point where you'd look odd even with a longer length top covering it. I really wish when there was this kind of problem with a garment -- not just "I didn't like it" -- that QVC would pick up return shipping cost. It's expensive to pay for their design mistakes.
BAD FIT FOR THESE PEDAL PUSHERS
Really wanted to keep these pedal pushers but the pockets stuck out on the sides and the back waistband was really low. Material was really cute with the dots but, unfortunately, the construction was way below par for D & C.
Quality control "missed the boat" on this item.
