What is it: A trimmed-down version of tarte's best-selling smolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliner, in three gorgeous shades.

Who is it for: Any tarte fan who loves the original smolderEYES, or anyone looking for a long-wearing, waterproof liner, with all the benefits of Amazonian clay.

Why is it different: Just like the original, these skinny smolderEYES liners give you a completely waterproof finish with longer wear, thanks to rich, pure pigments boosted by Amazonian clay. Closely line your eyes for intense definition, or use the built-in smudger to soften your look. The three shades--Emerald, Moonstone Brown, and Golden Tiger's Eye--will dramatically enhance the color of your eyes.

How do I use it: Glide along the upper and lower lash line and inner rims to define eyes. Use the built-in smudger to create a softer look, or blend the liner with your fingers to get a smoky look.

Won't Try These. Bring Back The Old Reading all these reviews about the pencil breaking and smearing, I'm wondering why they stopped making the wonderful liner I bought in a set of 5 or 6 before the holidays. It never smears, stays on and I've never had the pencil break. My daughter took home three of them after her visit! Thought I'd be able to order more, but sadly they are gone. 06-04-13

Nice Colors, Bad Application I liked how nice the eyeliner colors looked. They were a nice change from the same old colors that I usually wear, but I found it to be messy to use. The line came out to thick and it smudged on my eyes. I decided to return this. 06-03-13

Great colors! I love the colors and the ease of application of these skinny liners. Unfortunately, like so many other makeup products I seem to be allergic, which sucks. All three colors are beautiful, and they glide on with ease. I took some others' advice and kept them in the fridge as it is already in the 90s here, and that helped with the texture. 05-30-13

So so I really like Tarte and was very excited to get these liners but was quickly disappointed. They are advertised as being waterproof but they are not, 1/2 way through the day I looked in the mirror and the liner had smeared on my eyelids, it looked terrible. I have tried to wear a few more times and they just don't work for me. 05-17-13

Beautiful colors but does not stay on I think that the colors of the pencils are wonderful -- just wish they would last. They do glide on --no tugging, but on me...for whatever reason, they did not stay on at all. I need to reapply often. What is the trick here - even primer would not help. 05-17-13

Not impressed Tip broke off after couple of uses. Tried to sharpen and tip kept breaking. Finally broke far into pencil. Frustrated 05-06-13

Got the bronze in the beauty test tube---LOVE it! Glides on SO easily! Such a pretty color with my blue eyes! Stays put, 'til I wash it off with my Purity! 05-05-13

Personal Favorite LOVE these eye pencils! I own most, if not all the colors. Have not experienced any reactivity with my slightly sensitive eyes. Even with application of under eye moisturizer and luminizer, this is the only pencil eyeliner that consistently stays put until I take it off. A light hand when applying works best for me. Would love to see a deep navy blue added to the collection. 04-26-13

does not work Donot like this product when you put it on after an hour or so it smears to the top of the eyelid also when I tried to sharpen the pencils they would not sharpen this was a waste of money 04-21-13

Eyes burn and swell These colors are beautiful, but after applying them, my eyes burned the whole day, and were swollen when I got that evening. Just awful. I hope she takes out this irritant and can come back with these colors and insure they're safe. 04-21-13

Love the Emerald Green! I really like these. (Although I am still partial to Tarte moss green cashmere pencil) I had trouble with the softness of the pencil so I use an eyeliner brush on the pencil and then apply the liner with the brush. Works great. 04-20-13
