Super cute and summery
I thought this was a cute and not frumpy at all. The greenish blue color was true to my monitor, I'd call it aqua. The tie allows you to add some shaping, without making it tight. I'm 5'4 and it came to slightly below the knee. I felt it was also true to size. The v-neck wasn't too low so it didn't show cleavage. The fabric is stretchy, but it wasn't so sheer or clingy that I would return it. I think it's a stylish summer dress for work.

Lovely and Comfortable
Great new style. Tied over in the front, it gives a glamorous, feminine look as folds of fabric radiate to the bust.

Looks Like A House Dress!
Oh no! They look like the house dresses that my grandmother use to wear. Not a good look for me, I am in my late 30s. Back they go!

Very Frumpy
When I first received this dress I thought it was nice but now not so much. I know it is supposed to be Retro but to frumpy and matrony looking and I am 66 years young. To old looking going back. Sorry

Wanted to love this dress, but......
After reading the previous reviews, i found the right word for it...'frumpy"! I ordered the blue, and loved it on TV, even loved it in and out of the package. Then I tried it on...Oye! with out the belt tied, just a shapeless mess. Belt tied, makes the back shorter and ones "tush" very prominent. What a shame!!! I had big plans for this dress! I HAD to send it back.

very summery dress
I got this dress a few days ago and its very cute. I can see myself wearing this in July and August when it gets really hot.
The color is a bit more orange than I had imagined however it does have a very retro feel to it. It is also a very comfortable fabric. Its also very different with the darker print at the bottom. I also bought the scarf in coral to mix and match with it.

Retro
I'm a youngin' and I find the dress cute and very retro 50's. My husband said "Yeah, it's a little "housedressy" but that's the point of the dress, right? " He thinks it's cute and it's definitely comfortable so I'm keeping it. Love the pink color and the band at the bottom of the dress. Home run, Issac!

Sizing off from chart
While I usually wear a small in Isaac I ordered the medium based on the garment measurements as posted on the chart. HA! They were a good 2 inches LARGER than posted. I should have stayed with my small. Even so, I ordered the coral and when I opened the bag I gagged. It is a dreamsicle orange. Now, if you like that, go for it. I just wasn't expecting it based on the on-air presentation.
That combined with the over-large bust means this one is going back. I really resent that the posted measurement is so off to the actual garment size (measured it with a dress maker's tape measure).

LOVE
This is such a sweet dress. I agree with the previous reviewer who said this is the take off of the 50's look. Throw a cardigan over this and you are total Granny Chic! The length is very retro. So comfy and easy to wear. I bought two of them in the large. I am a 10/12 and busty. Bring us more like this Isaac!

A bit frumpy for me...
Received in the coral...pretty dress and nice fabric, but just was not very flattering...and a bit frumpy. Waist was large and elastic/belting didn't really do anything for me. Sadly going back as it was comfortable.

Very flattering
I am surprised by all of the negative reviews! It was refreshing to see a dress that hits just at/below the knee. Everything I see is too short - I am 45 and no longer feel appropriate in shorter skirts. I wear these little dresses for work in summer with cardigans over them. I am a drug rep and I need to keep a bit covered up but I still want to look good. I normally wear a 8-10 but I went with the small and it is perfect. I will be coming back for another color when the sizes come back in stock.

Soft, easy dress
This is the exact same fabric and cut as A224403 with sleeves and a different border print. If you got that one and said, I wish this had sleeves, your wish has been granted. I thought the armholes in the sleeveless version were a bit too low. I like these sleeves. I wash it in a lingerie bag and lay it out flat to dry and just touch up a little with an iron. It's rayon/span so it has a lot of stretch and drape--a good choice for warm weather.
I got 3 of these because I didn't know which colors I liked. You really need to see them in person. The coral is brighter orange than I expected with what I think Isaac is now calling "flame" on the border (an orangey red.) I like this in the brighter color.
