Isaac Mizrahi Live! Diamond Quilt Knit Blazer
Perfect casual jacket
I love this jacket ,perfect for the a casual life style or business casual work jacket. I'm going to order another color. The fit was great not to long.
It is exactly as I thought it would be; soft and casual. The perfect type piece to add to a casual outfit to give it a little extra pizzaz!
I bought this jacket in black in small. I love it. Its perfect with jeans. I wear it instead of a fleece or a sweathirt over a polo or something and it I actually look "pulled together" as they say!
Is not for the prom, but its a everyday great jacket!
It is What It is...
Cannot understand why some customers are beating up on this jacket. It is simply a very casual, soft, quilted jacket to wear in lieu of a sweater. I ordered it in black as an alternative to a black sweater. It's to grab and go with slacks, jeans, pencil skirt. It's cute with the touch of the polka dots showing under the collar, cuffs and front pocket lining. It washes and dries well. I don't think it's meant to be tailored, very fitted or formal in any way. Well, I'm okay with what it is and I think I'm pretty fussy.
I like the material (comfy). I like the fit (not too snug). What I don't like is the price. For an unlined blazer, I think it's too much money. This fabric is quite popular now and can be found in many stores/clothing lines including Susan graver and Denim & Co., for less cost. It's a personal choice whether you want to pay this price.
bad fit, cheap look, NOT emerald.
I love Isaac's things and rarely return them, but this hung on me, was way too big even though I ordered from the size chart, and just looked cheap. The facings stuck out, the seams were lumpy, and the color was more teal than emerald. So disappointed. Back it went.
I love most of Isaac's clothing, but in my opinion, this was just not up to his usual quality. It did not look as good in person as on the television presentation. The quilted fabric was more like a cheap fitted bathrobe rather than a jacket with Isaac's usual high end styling. I found the fit on this blazer to be matronly with low placed bust seaming. The sleeves were tight so that when the cuffs were turned back to show the polka dots, it was constricting. I purchased this in 3 colors, green, ivory and black and all are going back.
If this really had a shape it would be cute but with it being so boxy I felt like I was wearing a Pajama top. I usually like Isaac's products but this one missed the mark - too bad.
Changed order from medium (after reading the reviews) to small. Glad I did. Fits perfect and sooo cute. I'm 5"4", 135lbs. for reference. I'm ordering another color/style.
No Thank You
This jacket looked darling in the presentation, but I did not like it in person. It looked like a bathrobe. Also, I should be happy to find a designer who lets me buy SMALL. I am a solid medium, sometimes large with every line except Isaac. I ordered this jacket in M thinking I'd need to allow for a shirt underneath, and it drowned me. I do love Isaac's personality but this isn't the first time I've been disappointed in one of his items. I also do not like the Q's high cost of returning items.
I orderd black and cream. Not sure why exactly, but this jacket does nothing for me. I just don't think I'll wear them very often. Returning both - sorry Issac.
Amazing quality for the price
I guess enough of you returned the jacket that I was able to get mine on waitlist. It fits me perfectly and I have a hard time fitting jackets. It is adorable and I can't wait to wear it. It's lightweight and has a nice cut. So many blazers don't have the princess seams in the back but this one does. The only negative is the cheap lining on the cuffs but I plan to wear them down so no problem. What can you expect for $60? I purchased the off-white in a medium.
