Summer Sensation
I love this bag for the summer and for weekend getaways as it is the perfect size. It is large and quite roomy and you can fit reading materials, IPADS, and a lot of other things in this spectacular tote/handbag. I also sometimes use it for work in the summer because I commute by bus I can load it up with my lunch and other things and then I don't need to carry two bags and I look spectacularly fashionable. You can't go wrong with this bag. The bottom is beautifully done in leather and the striped pattern on the linen is awesome. I own a lot of Dooneys and this is one of my favorites.

Classic Summer Tote for Beach or a Weekend Geatway
Just received this in what is called "Blue/Red". It appears on TV and online as clear blue and white stripes with a red base and British tan leather straps and trim. In fact, the white stripes are not white at all, but a very neutral straw like color and the blue is not royal blue but more a bright navy. The base is a true red. At first I was disappointed but then i realized I liked this look. With the muted stripes, (but still colorful) it is more neutral and I think more classic looking. It is pricey for a mostly fabric bag, but with the easy pay (available when i purchased it)I thought I'd give it a try. All leather would have been too heavy for me.I am petite so the strap length and width feels fine. I do plan to keep it and will use it this weekend on a trip. if it is not functional then I will return it, but it should work out just fine, for me.

I Agree with previous shopper!
I feel the same way as the previous shopper and would ad the "white" stripes are more bonish with some sort of weave design and not as colorful as I thought it would be for this summer. A totally boring bag and certainly not worth the money! Looks like a $39.00 or less bag and I am being generous! It's going back today!

Not worth the price
I love my Dooney handbags. But... I ordered this with the taupe base and natural sides, and although it smells wonderful like new leather and the leather is soft and supple, its body has no shape and just flops over. For this price, the entire bag should be leather. It isn't clear if the fabric has been treated to resist water and stains, and the straps are very narrow. The straps are too short to comfortably wear on the shoulder, unless you are petite like a model, and they're too long and thin to wear on the arm. I have more functional totes that have cost a lot less. In addition, I have received 2 Dooney bags, this one included, that were packaged folded in half at the base ( the other was a more expensive Florentine (beautiful) satchel. This may save on the co's storage and shipping, but that crease is hard to get out of the purse - please Dooney and QVC, stop folding my bags!!! This is going back.
