Excellent but not silver, it is pewter. These Papillio triple strap sandals are extremely comfortable. The materials used for the upper portion and straps are very very soft. They feel like already broken in leather. The sequin look on the man-made uppers are not garish or over the top. Very clean looking and a little dressier than many Birki's. I ordered these specifically wanting the color of "silver" like was so popular last year. I walk best in triple strap Birki's, better than the double strap. Well, like I said.....these are wonderful but the silver color is really a pewter color which matches B. Makowsky handbags in pewter beautifully. Any pewter or mixed metallic clutch/handbag for that matter. Unfortunately I must return this pair based on the fact that I already have a pair of pewter Birkenstocks. Bummer for me. I am still highly recommending these those if you do not have a pewter, gunmetal, onyx or patent look in your wardrobe. Super cute with maxi skirts! 07-29-12
