Linea by Louis Dell'Olio 3/4 Sleeve Tie Dye Print Cardigan
pretty but bad button holes
Lovely print but the button holes were defective- I could not open it! Sometimes I like sweaters open or just one button closed. Also very short and boxy. Expected better for this price.
I got the mint in size medium (40 inch chest). I thought it might not fit but actually fit perfectly. I didn't open all the buttons just the top ones and put it on over my head. Very light and even brought with me as a cover up for a tank top to a meeting with a skirt. Looked very cheerful but chic. Might try the others.
Soft and feminine
I'm coming back for another color after purchasing the pink/coral version of this sweater. I have received several compliments on this item. Since putting on some weight, I have found that the sweaters seem more complimentary than the tees. I did notice that some of the other buyers had the same problem with the buttons being larger than the button holes as I did. I decided to slip the sweater over my head rather than being irrated trying to unbutton it. I think most of us wear it buttoned anyway.
Very nice sweater and quality materials....I had to return though because the orange color wasn't as dark as the capris I have....in the tangerine color.
Length is too short!!!!
Louis can make some beautiful sweaters, however he never seems to make them LONG enough!!! I'm 5'11 & I ordered the large & it barely hit my waist. When I looked at the the length is ONLY 23 1/2 inches????? Isaac & Dennis Basso NEVER make their cardigans too short in length. It cheapens the look when it is too short. I should've watched the video & paid attention to the length. In the future I will with his sweaters. It seems to be a common practice w/him.
I ordered the pink combo,lg, size is spot on ,as always, colors are soft ,but fun, buttons are a little tight,on wait list for blueberry.I think I am spoiled for life with Mr.L's line, wish qvc would stock more...I know I'm not alone on that.
Buttons stuck in buttonhole - SIZE DOWN
I returned this because I could not get the buttons unbuttoned. Not just one or even two, but all of the buttons are stuck. As with another reviewer, the buttons are stuck in the buttonhole because the buttonholes are too small to let the button pass thru. Also, it is way oversized, and has no shaping whatsoever - it is a square piece of fabric and a very large piece of fabric. I love Louis' pieces and have others that I am wearing after years and years. I have followed him since he was with AK, but tHis one went back. I encourage others to size down.
This is so fun & fresh - tie dyed to perfection! I have the blueberry/lime & yes, the lime is more like a yellow. The ribbon adds the perfect touch. The cardigan is so soft & hangs nicely. I think it looks best by itself with the first two buttons open.
I just received my cardigan. And all I can say is WOW. It is beautiful.
I ordered this in the taupe/peach and eagerly awaited its arrival. I was expecting something really phenomenal. What I received was just a thin cotton sweater with no real shaping and cheaper rib knit trim. I applaud the smartly engineered placement print, great color mix, grosgrain ribbon trim, and cute understated buttons. But I prefer a more shaped, fitted cut, higher quality knit, and tubular hems. This sweater lacks those important design details. Returning.
I purchased the blueberry-lime cardigan. It is absolutely gorgeous. So well made, soft, feminine. One issue, the beautiful blue pearlized buttons are a bear to get through the button hole. Maybe after use, it will be easier. This is one of the most beautiful cardigans I have.
NO ONE DOES TIE DYE LIKE LOUIS!
Purchased this Sweater in the Tan/Peach - love everything about it - the knit - the placement print - the sleeves - and the cardigan length. Wear it with my Taupe Linea Boho, skinny jeans, my Linea pleated Skirt in Bamboo, Black Pants etc. Excellent style and quality and value. Purchased one size larger so I could wear shirts, tees & tanks underneath. Love Louis Dell'Olio designs! More Linea Shows Please!
