My new favorite Birkenstocks!
I was concerned about purchasing these due to all of the negative reviews citing discomfort from the toe strap on these sandals. I decided to give them a try because my past experience with Birkenstock has been wonderful. I will say there was a break in period with the toe strap piece that everyone seems to be complaining about (about a week). The toe strap became much less rigid with break in and now these sandals are my go-to!

A little time
So when I first got these, my first pair of any kind of birkenstocks, I knew I had to break them in. So I started wearing them right away because I had only 30 days to decide whether I would keep them or not. At first the toe divider really hurt and left blisters, and my feet were just sore in general all over. I would go out and walk my dog around the block a few times to really get them broken in. The first week I thought I'd have to return them, the second week, they felt better. I'm on vacation, and they feel perfect now! the divider stopped hurting, my feet settled into the cork and my pregnant feet have a bit of room to swell on the sides. So I'm banking on that these will get me through the summer. i am due in July/Aug. So yes once broken in these are 5 stars all the way. I like that my feet pretty free with only one strap going over my foot. Stick with it, give it a little time, and they will feel amazing! :)

Papillio Gizeh Navy floral print
I just wore these for 2 days straight and was on my feet standing on concrete. Other than being overall tired from the 2 long days, my back was not killing me from the great support of the shoes. It is always a win, win deal when you get great arch support, comfort and cute style. I have flat feet and little to no instep but I normally wear size 11 shoe. In these and most sandals I wear a 10 with the buckle locked on the closest to the inside of strap. Thanks.

Pretty and comfortable
I purchased the white flowered sandal. I love sandals with the toe bar. In the beginning of the summer my toes have to adjust to the toe bar sandals but these are the type of sandal I love. If you fit the sandal correctly the toe bar does not hurt. I do not know why other reviews say that. They look pretty and are very comfortable. I love these and I may order another pair. Because I wear an 8.5 I did order up. The medium width is a smidgeon wider than I expected but well worth it.

Cute, but ouch!!
I was happy to receive this sandal; they are so cute. I thought they would be my summer go to shoe. However, I am afraid to wear them because the thong hurts between my toes. I have worn thongs forever, and these are the first to deliver such discomfort. I am trying them with cotton pads between my toes and that is reducing the pain. I'll give these 1 more week.

1st pair I have owned and LOVE them
I recently purchased 2 pair of the Papillio Gizeh Floral Print Adj. Strap Thong Sandal.
My sister will wear nothing but Burks so when I came across QVC special I decided to get her a pair for her Birthday and try a pair for myself, was I ever happy! I am SOLD on why she only wears Burks. Will be purchasing more.

Very cute sandal
Never owned Birkenstocks before, but my mother used to swear by them. I always thought they were a little too "hippy" for me. I have a very small foot and can wear girls shoes, of course the problem with that is that kids shoes usually look like kids shoes. These are very cute without looking too kid-like. They are very comfortable and I found the sizing to be very spot on.

Love, love, love!
I own several Brickenstock sandals, but this is my first from the Papillio line and my first thong sandal from them as well. After reading some of the reviews I had mixed feelings about ordering this shoe, but I'm so glad I went with my gut and ordered it. It is very comfortable and the toe strap does not bother me at all, I don't even feel it. I love my sandals and look forward to purchasing many more!

Comfy sandal
I have several Birkis/Papillios in this style and they are very comfortable. I'm not sure why some customers are having so much discomfort from the toe piece. I have thin, "bony" feet with little padding but these are comfy enough to wear when I walk my dog. I do sometimes need to punch an extra hole in the strap to snug them up a tad as I'm barely a Medium width (used to be a Narrow).

I have a pair of Birkenstocks and had to get use to the thong. After wearing them several times, I have gotten use to them. I ordered these in white when they were on easy pay and now want them in black but need on easy pays.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE!!
When these were shown on TV, the host said, you need to wear these for a bit to give your foot a chance to adjust to the way you need to wear them, in other words, don't wear these like the cheapy plastic flip flops you buy for the poolside!!! I have not had the toe strap hurt me AT ALL!!! You keep your foot back in the cup of the heel and don't shove it forward...they are VERY comfortable!! The only complaint I may have is that the pink came to me looking a lot more coral rather than pink, but either way they will work out just fine!!!!

They make my big dogs look like puppy's
size 10.5 I just got these today I order them on Friday night and got them on Tuesday them ,.they are comfortable. you do have to break them in and the thong is a little uncomfortable but I will get use to them. every spring and summer i go through the same thing.these are my third pair. looking forward to get more.
