Denim & Co. 3/4 Sleeve Button Down Eyelet Shirt with Tank
Like the shirt...love the color. Have not worn it yet
Hope You Love to Iron!
This is a beautiful idea and I love the color. However, to say there is no ironing needed, oh no, no, no! The jacket, after washing, is really stiff (as if starched) It had to be ironed and I don't mean a little pressing - IRONED!! Don't think I can even wear this in the hot sticky summers of Louisiana. Any chance this could be made with a softer fabric for the jacket??
I really didn't know if I would like this set when I ordered it but when I tried it on, I LOVE IT!!! I had ordered two colors and now I went back and ordered a third one.
Arms too tight in plus size 2X
Everything I have in D&Co is 2X and the fit is fine....this must be cut skimpy. I have to pay the non-refundable $3.00 to ship this to me and another $6.95 to return it. $9.95 shipping charges are too costly which has forced me to cut down on my QVC ordering and shop elsewhere.
Not As Expected
I ordered this in black and white. Sending black one back because the fabric looks faded, both the tank and the blouse.
Both pieces are great!
I got orange & green last year, have worn plenty & washed/dried enough to say that I think these are excellent quality, look very nice, don't need ironing.....unless you're from my mother's generation & I'm 62. If you like this set try "as is" to get a deal on returns from the complainers. I usually leave the shirt open over the tank, but when I do button a couple I haven't noticed any problems.
Blue Iris is PURPLE!
For you purple lovers, order the Blue Iris... The color on my computer monitor is a royal blue, but when it arrived it is clearly purple. This is my 3rd set this spring, and I love them. Royal blue is my favorite color, for it brings out the blue in my eyes, so I was disappointed the color was purple. But I'll keep it, I'm just not excited about it. You purple lovers will LOVE it!
I ordered the white and blue iris. Now ... despite the fact that I love BOTH and have received many compliments, I have NOT yet washed the eyelet shirt on either. I tend to wear these sets to church and when I want to sort of "dress up" casually. I've worn both about 3 times for short periods of time and have been very careful with them so they haven't required laundering yet. So I can't speak to how they do when washed. Someone said they were "stiff." Well, the eyelet shirt DOES have structure to it. In my opinion, it wouldn't look right if it were flimsy. Love the 3/4 sleeves. It's very cool in the summer. Having read the reviews ... I'll be very careful with washing it. But it should be ok.
Choose your color carefully!
The colors for this vary greatly in their saturation. I ordered the bluish purple ( the way QVC names colors is problematic and I don't' remember exactly how this was named). When it arrived, it was far less bright than it seemed either on tv or website and it made me look ill. In the meantime I ordered the azalea pink, which turned out not to be bright enough for me either. I returned both colors. However, 2 years ago I purchased the turquoise, which is very saturated and bright, and I have had many compliments on it. And when I saw that this was again available in black, which I had been trying to get for a long time, I ordered it immediately. Many years ago I was told that I was a "winter" and should wear bright, primary colors or icy shades, plus black. I have tried to follow that as much as I could and it has paid off. This color classification scheme of winter, spring, summer, and fall seems to have gone out of common usage but the basic ideas are still very valid in helping to choose fashion colors according to one's basic complexion type, I wish QVC would bring it back! As for the eyelet material in this, it is stiff and the button holes are difficult and very tight to use. I have only washed this by hand (living in a small apartment without my own washing machine) but noted that one review said that this garment shrank when washed as directed. So, in sum, if you get this in a color right for your complexion, you should be happy with it. But I would like to see a shrink proof and colorfast fabric used in the future.
Beware - This top shrinks!
I ordered this set in several colors - loved it until I washed it, as directed, and the cardigan shrunk so much that I cannot wear it at all. The upper arm of the sleeve was pretty tight anyway. I spent way too much on these for them to shrink after washing. Boo!
Just got this in white and am very pleased with the fit and weight of the fabric
Not scratchy, not boxy. Ordered two more, one in turquoise and one in
black. Great little summer jacket or blouse.
I'm only giving it one star because it's a "required" field. I don't think it deserves any stars. The fabric is awful. It's so stiff it was very difficult to open the buttons and once on it was actually uncomfortable. I'm sending both sets back for a refund.
