Denim & Co. Gauze Tiered Skirt with Eyelet Trim
Love the Look
This is exactly what I needed for summer. I love the gauze it's so light and comfortable for summer and you don't have to worry about wrinkles. The length is perfect, I'm 5'6". The perfect addition in white to go with all my tops. And the price was right.
I was in doubt ordering it because I have saddlebags. But it looks great. I got it in stone--could not be happier with it. Please, Q, keep this item available. Will be back for more.
Pleased with my purchase
I purchased 2 skirts, white and beige. They fit well, are too long, but I don't care. I just really like the look. I wanted something nice for the summer that would cover my legs. The price was reasonable which was another plus.
Disappointed on many levels
I called to order this skirt & needed help w/sizing I'm 5'4" & 140 lbs. I was going to go w/ lg, but sales reps have a size chart we don't see. She said it tells what size waist the elastic really accommodates. According to her I should get medium, not lg. it arrived today. It did fit around my waist, but was so tight it was extremely uncomfortable, it just dug in. And being that tight was very unflattering! The waistband is very wide. I wanted to exchange for a lg, but 3 shipping charges totaling $19 is more than I can do.
The skirt's shaping was very nice, but the material was too heavy for central Florida's hot summer weather.
GOOD BASIC SUMMER GO TO SKIRT
IT'S GOT THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR TEXAS, LIGHTWEIGHT, COOL FABRIC, AND STYLE. GOT THE BLACK AS DON'T USE SKIRTS THAT OFTEN.
WOW! - - - NICE SKIRT!
Ordered 2 of these skirts--1 Black & 1 White. I'm 5'7" & the length is perfect. It's more like a "trumpet skirt." Like that the lining has split sides, which gives plenty of room to walk. For that matter...just like that it's lined period! So, no slip required. Fits very true to size....especially at the waist, which is ever so important. Think it could be worn as both dressy or casual, which is always a plus. Wouldn't mind having it in some more colors.
Tips for gauze: If the fabric stretches out due to wearing or ironing (sometimes necessary to press seams and hems) just put some water in a spray bottle and spray back into shape. If a particular area is too large, really saturate with water and drip dry. If a gauze item is too tight in a particular area, just iron out the wrinkles in that spot. Just want to share this info that I discovered as a seamstress! I am 5'8" and would have liked another inch or two longer. Really fabulous summer/spring skirt! You can make it as full or "tight" as you want using the tips.
I got this a year or two ago and it's a really fun, cool skirt to wear on hot summer days or evenings. I have this in clear aqua which is a pretty color, and am tempted to get the shrug in the same color, A232022. Fit is true to size, length is fine for all but the most petite ladies. I'm 5'6" and this comes just below mid-calf. It looks great casual w/a tank and casual belt or scarf, and flat sandals.
LOVE the color, HATE the skirt!
I purchased this skirt only because it was the only gauze skirt I could find in a 'beige' color instead of bright white. I loved the stone color, because I thought it would look good with black tops. When I got the skirt I was NOT disappointed in the color.
BUT . . . there is something wrong in the engineering in this skirt. They took what was already a full skirt, and added a full flounce at the bottom. It doesn't look that bad on the website picture, but when you put it on there is skirt all over the place.
I hope D&C comes up with a better gauze skirt (I purchased another style that I am also returning) in the stone color. It is a winner, and so much easier to wear than white!
I'm a petite and this fits very well. I bought the Jade and wore it St. Patricks Day with a White t'shirt and White Denim Jacket. I felt young and flirty in this skirt. Mid 40's, 5'4" and 180 and it looks great, feels great and I don't feel self conscious about my size. I can wear with confidence. Have fun with this skirt.
Ordered usual size. Skirt was large in waist and hips. Didn't look good on me.
