George Simonton Pucker Knit Dolman Sleeve Cocoon Bolero
BETTER than I imagined. Wear over a blouse, dress
Well, this looks like a simple thing and you may think it is just like a knitted, warmer shawl, cape, etc. you already have, but it is NOT. You will be surprised. It is lightweight, a little crinkly, but not shlumpy or blanket-like. I bought the bright raspberry color and it matches a shirt I have from another line from QVC perfectly. I almost didn't buy it but am glad I did.
This was such a disappointment! The material is cheap looking. The colors of grey and rose were so nice, and the fit is flattering. I loved it when I tried it on, then got hot fast, and it was awkward around the neck.
I absolutely LOVE this bolero - it looks fabulous on. This is my first George Simonton article. It was a lunchtime special so at $26 and change it was a real steal. The grey color is gorgeous and I'm loving the pucker material. This bolero is a real winner.
Wonderful Travel piece
I have had these a year and no color fading. They travel so well, that they could be kept in a drawer, not hung up. Now on sale. Matches the tank. The tank does fade a little, but still goes.
This jacket covers my back rolls and upper arms beautifully. Very nice material.
I have yet to purchase anything from George Simonton that I didn't love and this is no exception. Simonton designs for WOMEN. This bolero sits beautifully on the body and covers the arms to the elbow and is lightweight. Very flattering.
BOUGHT THE TEAL AND GREY
THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL . GIVE MORE COVERAGE THAN THE SMALLER TYPE SHRUGS. QUALITY MATERIALS LOVE THEM...
one of the nicest bolero i have received...it covers a longer body frame and is well made.....just loving this product...more colors please , george
I mostly like this jacket. Love the style, I wear xl and size is dead on. It's made nicely but I'm not a big fan of the crinkle material, never was so its not that this one is the reason. Would love it if he'd make one in something else cause its a nice thing to throw over sleeveless tops ESP as I'm not a fan of showing my upper arms so don't wear them. Now I will. It is a little pricey for the material but it is made by a big designer so I can forgive that. And it is lined. You have to play with the collar a little so it doesn't make you look a bit round shouldered but that is easily done.
a beautiful basic
this cocoon is such a great basic to go with many things. it fit well in my regular size with no issues. i bought it in the black to go with everything, but will end up getting another color. i would love to see this in white and ivory. it is just the right weight for spring and summer and fall. you can even use this in the winter. i love the detailing on the body and the fit and drape are superb. definitely get more than one.
Design Flaw in neck of Bolero
Personally I love, love and love Mr. Simonton's clothing......excellent design and normally outstanding craftmanship. But, I ordered this bolero jacket in different colors and in my usual size. The sizing was correct but the neckline had issues. The fabric is heavy and the neckline kept rolling backwards ....... thus showing the inside of the fabric. The interior was unfinished. What you were greeting people with was unfinished work. I am sorry but the boleros had the same issue and they were returned. I hope this helps with your ordering decision. Again, George's work is normally outstanding......I will be returning for more of his clothing ......that is a definite for me.
Better than a shawl. It stays on without falling off your shoulders. Ordered black. Thinking of buying another color, but price alittle high!!
