Linea by Louis Dell'Olio Pebbled Crepe Tunic with Pocket Detail
Easy care? Not!
I loved this top until I washed it. Hand wash cold, hang dry. Not only did it come out stiff it shrank a full size. M now measures 42" bust and 44" above slits. This is totally unacceptable. I am very sorry to have to return this defective garment. Maybe it should have been labeled "Dry Clean Only."
Very happy with the tunic and an incredible deal at sale price, much less lunch time special. Stone color is beautiful giving me a little light around the face. I like the versatility of the collar, the length, the pockets and fit. Regarding the material, I didn't find it scratchy. It feels like any pebbled crepe and that choice of material gives it a look that can dress up or down. Thanks.
loved the length, but did not
love the material--the material ruined it for me. Unlike 3/4 of Linea tops, this was a great length for me being five 8. I just didn't like the fabric--kind of scratchy and cheap looking. I liked the pockets--this is not hugely oversized, and I like the tie. I wish he had other colors too. The terracotta and beige wash me out, but the black is always a staple color-this would have been nicer if it had spandex and another blend in it. Sorry, not impressed with it.
i hate spending money on clothes where you end up looking like everyone else. i could have shopped the malls all day and never run into this much style. love it
I am a long time supporter of Louis Dell Olio...from buying him at Saks Fifth Avenue when he was director at Anne Klein to the last 12 years at QVC...But I came to his pebbled crepe late because the first items from last year...sold out before I could purchase...I finally picked up this top in Sand and another of his pebbled crepe tops in Navy.....and I am in love! Beautifully designed, light weight and perfect. This top can be worn with jeans or Louis' fabulous pants...
Classy, Classic and a perfect accompaniment to my wardrobe...it is so great I have given it a vacation in Paris with me....
This top is only the second item of Louis' that I can't give 5 stars to. I'm not fond of the material - not that it is cheap, just not great. And the cut does nothing for you. Both issues out of character for this designer who I've been wearing for over 30 years.
This is another winner from Louis! Fabric is cool and light so we can wear in the heat of summer and still not bare too much skin. Got the terracotta color and it is so pretty. The fit is relaxed, but perfect. I suggest you order your usual Linea size. The drawstring neck makes it extra versatile - I've had fun tying it for different looks. Love the length too, on my almost 5'8" frame but it may be a little long for petities.
LOUIS, MY LOUIS!!
I received 6 Louis Dell Olio items this month and LOVEEEEEEEEEE everyone of them. You are the best ..... workmanship, design, fabric, total quality .... doesn't get any better.
Your pebble crepe is perfect for ALL YEAR ROUND wear. Thank you so much! I'm so happy, happy, happy!
This is a great, light, airy top for So. CA. I'm 6'0" and always challenged to find tops that are long enough. This one is! The material is slightly flimsy and see-through, so you'll need nude-colored undergarments (for the beige one).
Pebble Crepe Rocks
I love the pebble crepe fabric of this top. The style is so easy, breezy. The fabric easy care. The colors gorgeous, and the will never fade. I adore all three colors and the cowl is so different from anything else I own. Thanks, Louis!
3 Stars Because I'm Sad -- Must Send Back
I ordered the pebbled crepe tunic in terracotta over a week ago and then abruptly cancelled my order, fearing that the shade would not be becoming for a pale-skinned brunette (think of the coloring of Maria, the plus-sized model). Then, I thought, maybe the top will have more red than yellow in it, maybe I can't see its color fully online. WRONG! I went ahead and ordered -- against my gut instinct. My suspicion that the terracotta was intended for pale-skinned blondes was on the money. I LOVED THE MATERIAL, THOUGH. Do not like the bagginess of the top all that much, however. Those with Mediterranean coloring of pale skin and dark hair should choose the black or sand shade.
How great is this tunic?! I went out of my color comfort zone, ordered the terracotta, and am so glad I did. It is a great body silhouette, the neckline a bit unexpected, and pockets make it even better! Pair this with dark colored bottoms for fall and winter, and lighter bottoms for spring and summer - this tunic can be worn year round. Easy care and easy wear - what's not to love!?
