Short-waisted perfection
I am five feet tall with a curvy figure. This dress fits me very well. The wrap does not gap open. I don't even need to use the zipper; the dress slips over my head without opening the zipper. I wrap the belt around my waist twice so the ends aren't too long. The length is perfect. Love the fabric and the way it hangs.
This is my second Mackie dress that fits perfectly. I used to think I could not buy dresses because they never seemed to flatter my short, curvy figure. I'm rethinking that assumption. I got the dress in my usual size, medium.

Not too Great..
I ordered and have worn this dress one time. It's okay, but I will have to agree it is not too flatterning for me. I wear a 12, and ordered a Large. It fit, I'm just not too sure if I really like the high fitted belt.. it's just a "eh" for me.

Not At All Flattering
Maybe this would have worked on a long waisted woman with a small bustline, but it sure looked awful on me. It went straight back! Usually love and keep Bob Mackie stuff, but certainly not this time.

Perfect Dress For The Busty Gals
I usually run away from any dress or shirt with a wrap front. I am pretty busty, but wear a size 10 so usually a wrap shirt gaps open or requires me to wear another shirt under. I liked the pattern so much I thought I would give it a try. I don't know the proper seamstress term, but the wrap is cut at an angle and provides full coverage with out exposing excess cleavage or half my bra. It is a very slimming flattering fit, but is very comfortable. I wore it to the movies with flats and a cute cropped denim jacket and wore again for a father's day brunch in a dressier setting. I am shocked how well this fit! I am a new Bob Mackie devotee. This was my first purchase and I have already purchased more.

Print design to big for me.
Also color was not gray,looks purple?.But the reason i have to send back,is the print,i am waiting more this year,big prints me me look fatter,The dress is perfect.But is not for me.I still live in the 50th.!I like elegant,classic,i need more cool simple dresses.Church or Dr visit.I put my jewelery,i looks more elegant at the restaurant.I love your clothes,i have more than a few.I am older,but people think iam 20 years younger.

This dress is so pretty! The print and the fabric are beautiful, but as another customer stated it doesn't hit me in the waist quite right. Some lucky lady on waitlist for the XS in blue will be happy.

Exquisite print
I LOVE the pattern of this dress, so different and modern and elegant. Just lovely. The fabric is right on, never wrinkles, hangs beautifully. The waist could be longer, it hit me mid-ribcage. Length, perfect. Sleeve length, perfect. Nice v neck doesnt have to be "pinned" to be decent. Just right.

If only it had a longer waist!!
I am sad that I have to send this dress back. The fabric is GORGEOUS. Gorgeous color (I had the blue), gorgeous drape. Nice length. Love the set in sleeves that are a very nice length for jewelry.
On me, this dress wasn't that great. =0( I'm not particularly long-waisted, but the "natural waist is the smallest part of you" thing just doesn't seem to look nice on my figure. Not maternity-ish (many in the empire cut are) but not lengthening or slimming on me, either. Even my hubby (who tells me the truth in love when I ask him) shrugged and said, "It's not bad, but it's not great either," which is exactly how I felt about it.
SO BUMMED because the fabric really is killer. FYI - I'm a true size large (on QVC) and tend to be an apple shape - most of my weight in the tummy. =0( Guess I just need to stick with princess seaming and longer waists. Drat.

Exquisite style and fit!
I have never been so pleased with a purchase! I am a 5'3" full figured gal. The drape of this dress is WONDERFUL!!! I bought the blue and am very tempted to go back for the grey and maybe the red, too. The weight/hand of the fabric is, in a word, PERFECTION. I wore it to work and got several compliments on it. Try it. I do not think you will be disappointed.

Bob Mackie ROCKS!
I am a big fan of Fleur de Lis so when I typed in the search for Fleur de Lis, Bob Mackie's dress came up. It was a really cute pic so I decided to try it in green. OMG! I just received it today and I'm in love! Would it be really weird to get it in other colors? lol The green is so rich looking. The weight of the fabric is perfect for fall and winter. I am an XL and this fit me to a tee. It hides a multitude of sins. Ladies, you can't go wrong with this dress! Actually, you can't go wrong with Bob Mackie! My first Bob Mackie was purchsed for me from QVC by my mom about 20 years ago for my daughter's christening. I still have it! Truly wearable art! If you like to get noticed in a flattering way, buy Bob Mackie!
