Joan Rivers Wardrobe Builders Complement Slim Skirt
I received this skirt today and omg it is bad! It fits fine except the lining is about 1/2 to 3/4 inches longer then the actual skirt! And the lining isn't even. Part of it is about 1/2 inches long on one side and 3/4 inches longer on the other! Now I will have to have it hemmed. This is the first skirt I have ever order from Joan Rivers and this might be the last. I have ordered jackets from her and they are great but apparently skirts are not her thing or the company that makes them for her don't pay attention. Sorry Joan not more from me. To expensive to return. : (
I LOVE THESE!!
I first ordered these in the xl, then lost 40 lbs(YAY)!!! and reordered in med! perfect for office, casual, (and dinner out) dressed up. I love the length, always appropriate.
This is the best slim skirt I have EVER OWNED...I am a little larger and I do not even have to undo the button....Fits very comfortable, I may as well order more if there are any left.....You won't be disappointed...You might order one size smaller....
Love this skirt
I love this skirt.
I usually don't wear a slim skirt, but this one is comfortable, and flattering. It is very easy to dress up or down.
Like the great Joan Rivers, this skirt is simply perfect. The length is modest but not frumpy . It has a classic kick pleat in the back and, thankfully, not a too long, too revealing slit.
The fit is perfect for me. I need one of these in every color, I think!
bought this skirt in 2 colors love it. the fit is great go with your regular size on this one
Really, nothing special
I ordered small tan. It fit in the waist but the hips were too big. The fabric was thin and just not something I would use. Returned it immediately.
DON'T THINK TWICE
I needed a "corporate" white skirt for work and decided to try this one. I was very skeptical because straight skirts are hard to fit and white can be tricky. When I tried on this skirt I was pleasantly surprised. It is a perfect fit (bought a small) and the material isn't flimsy. The lining keeps it from being see through. I am 5'7" and it hits just below my knee. I may have it hemmed because I prefer a skirt to hit the top of my knee. That is my preference and doesn't affect my overall rating. I can't wait to wear it with a gingham shirt and colorful jacket. Thank you Joan.
Skirt fit well across hips, but the waist band did not lay right and pulled skirt up.
Fabric poor--wrinkled within minutes of wearing and sitting!!!! I purchased
black and kahki. Black fit better than kahki. This is the second or third item of
Joan River's clothing I have purchased where the fabric has been less than
Wanted to love it!
Bought this skirt after seeing it on air with Jane Rudolph Tracey stating she has about 7 of them. I was super excited and ordered a medium. (I now know that Joan's stuff runs larger or should I say "normal") I'm 5'6" 155lbs and athletic. The size med was roomy but I figured after washing it should fit perfect. So I washed it as instructed and threw it in the dryer for 20min to hopefully shrink it a bit. I really think it's a great wardrobe builder, it did shrink some but holy smoke it falls weird on me. It falls below my knees and there is no way for the price point that I would pay to have it altered. I'm guessing that Jane and Joan must either get petite or have it altered. I actually went back to look at the picture online to make sure I wasn't losing my mind, it falls at the knees or just above on everyone. What the heck??!! Maybe if it was tighter it would raise it a bit??! This would be super for someone taller I guess. It does seem to wrinkle easily. Sadly it's going back, boo:(
Nice fit. Bad Fabric.
Purchased this in white. After sitting in this skirt for about 10 minutes it was a wrinkled mess. Fit was very nice for a size 16. Just wish the fabric was different blend. Will send back ASAP.
best skirt ever
I am a little over weight but the skirt fits beautifully. I like the stretch in the back. It makes the fit great and I love the cobalt blue. I especially like the fact that you didn't need a slip. Thanks
