Size issues
Usually I am a large in Joan's skirts. But this large practically fell off me. I exchanged it for the medium and that skirt fit but I was unable to move comfortably and it showed all my bumps and lumps. i loved the khaki color. I can't speak of the washing issues because neither skirt was worth washing.

Disappointed-Major Shrinking
Hi, I bought this skirt in Cobalt - tried it on and it was slightly loose.
Washed in Cold Water, noticed the major shrinkage so I didn't even dry it. It shrunk 2 sizes - the lining is now 1 inch longer that the skirt! Very disappointed. Not returnable as I wore and washed it after the 30 days - never expecting THAT much shrinking. Now stuck with 2 others and a Jacket that can not be washed as indicated on the label. Will have to dry clean. I wanted washable.

No Regrets
First time buying Joan Rivers line of clothing, purchase two slim skirts one in white and the other in stone size medium, am 5'9 and it fits just right, the lenght of the skirt is right about my knees, I love love it, no regrets, i will purchase more of her skirt or dresses. Oh by the way the material is great light weight good to wear year round.

PERFECT!!!
The best fitting skirt EVER!! LOVE that it fits like a glove. Have it in 3 colors. Keep this template of proportions Joan. It is marvelous in the making!!

Inconsistent sizing
I always enjoy the fit of Joan's skirts. I am a teacher and really needed one of these skirts in cobalt blue. After ordering two in size XL, one was too big and the other too small. Being a pear shape, I will try again and see if the third time will be a charm. However, sizing needs to be consistent.

Not-so-slim skirt
I agree with "pensulaw" who said that this was a weird cut, with too much fabric at the hip, and that a slim skirt shouldn't make you look wider, This may actually be a QVC cut, though; I find most of the fashions here favor a pear shaped body, small on top & larger at the hips. I tried the skirt on again, and it definitely doesn't work for me.

Nice skirt...runs large (I wish it came in XXS)!
I am looking forward to wearing this skirt (bought it in white), as soon as the weather allows. I ordered it in an XS, after reading the other reviews about Joan's skirts running large. I could actually use an XXS -- and, really, I'm not an XXS!!
I think Joan is a smart business woman -- smaller sizes help us to feel good about ourselves, and make us more likely to return to the brand that allows us to wear a smaller size!

Disappointing
I have a few of Joan's fashions and love them, but not this skirt. I ordered two
of these skirts, one in blue and the other in kaki. The fit did not match the measurement guide;
the waist was too big and the hips were too wide; and
the length was too long. I considered exchanging for the next size smaller,
but was uncertain about the sizing. I considered having them altered, but
the cost would not be worth it. Sent both back the very next day after receiving
them.

Oddly Cut
A lined skirt at this price is a good value. However, they are very oddly cut and there is way too much fabric at the hips. A slim skirt should not make you look wider. Afraid I will be returning mine.
