WEN by Chaz Dean Signature Boar Bristle Medium Round Brush Duo
Not what I had hoped for . . . . .
First of all they are waaaaaaayyyyyyy too expensive. And, like others, I don't care for the handle. Made my hand, arm, and shoulder very tired. Also, since we are supposed to use them on wet hair - I don't like the fact they are breaking off my baby fine hair. As far as shine goes, I have seen none. Maybe it is because I can't use them until my hair is completely dry because of the soreness in my shoulder/arm/hand and hair breakage. Not sending back because of shipping charges so I will see if my daughter-in-law can use them since she has very thick hair. I really love Chaz and WEN products, just not these brushes. I just ordered the Six Thirteen and can't wait to try it.
These brushes really work. My hair is smooth after using them. As I'm blow drying my hair all I hear is Chaz saying, "moving, moving, moving"! Thanks Chaz!
Sorry to say, I could not keep these brushes. The bristles were not the problem for me....it was the handle. If there is anyway to make a thicker and or cushioned handle, from several other reviews I read, it would be appreciated by myself and others. Love all other Wen products I use (and that covers a lot) Will keep my eyes open for an improvement to this product.
This size was way too small for me - and I don't have tons of hair, but on a weekday morning it takes too long to worship my hair with tools. I bought the large size and its working better for me. But those nylon bristles are sharp and hurt! Clearly made for women wiht much, much more hair or afro hair.
CHAZ - MAKE THE NYLON BRISTLES SOFTER. They are ouch on my scalp.
Didn't keep the brushes :(
I was looking forward to using these brushes. I was on a hunt for a good brush. I do have one but thought there was a better one. Although I liked the way the brush flowed through my hair I did not like the handle. I had to hold the handle tighter to have the brush go through my hair (and I have short hair). I guess its because the handle is very thin. I felt I couldn't maneuver the brush good enough and my hair took a tad longer to dry (and I have a T3 which dries hair quick). Although Chaz warns not to use a metal brush, I went back to my $30 Ceramic/Ion brush. Much better for me and more comfortable.
Phenom Shine--Best Ever Brushes Chaz!!!
I ordered/received this brush duo three weeks ago. I have long, fine hair (past shoulders), and although I'm very particular about my blonde hair color, I have never been fond of spending any time doing my hair--consider it a maj chore, etc--until now with these phenom & fab brushes. They practically do your hair themselves. I've always had trouble with tangling my hair while blow-drying in sections, but no longer. The shine these brushes impart practically blinds--it is unbelievable. I no longer need to use any shine spray. I would not have believed this (I know, Chaz, you told us this), but it is true. Of course, I use the Wen system and have for 2 years now, but I'm now in love with my hair and no longer consider doing it a chore. Using the Wen system, and now using Chaz' s boar bristle round brush has made me go from strongly disliking doing my hair and keeping it short to now having long, healthy, bouncy, and super shiny hair that I actually look forward to blow-drying. Can't thank you enough Chaz. This has so changed my hair styling life. This would be the perfect gift for anyone.
Oh, my hands...
I love this brush. My hair is awesome since WEN. But my hand hurts! My hand has to be so far up the brush to control my grip which causes my hand to burn from the blow drier. I which Chaz can sell or better give those of us that already purchase these brushes a thicker rubber gripper to add to his brushes. That would be awesome! Please consider this idea. Pretty please!!!!
Unfortunately, at this point I can not recommend it until better handles can be provided.
Very Nice brushes, thanks, Chaz!....they are comfortable to hold, my hair comes out full and shiny. the brushes hold onto the hair and stay in place just exactly like you show in your presentation. again, thanks!
I never though I would brag about a hair brush, but all I can say is WOW!!!!
Need a better grip
I loved this brush when I first started using it. It did a great job on my hair. I have fine hair that tends to go frizzy with the blow dryer and I got great results with this brush. However, I started to notice that my hand was cramping up soon after I starting using it. I asked my hairdresser about this and he said to use a brush with a thick handle and a rubber grip. Forget about a wooden handle. I bought a boar bristle brush with a rubber grip and have had no problem with my hand cramping since. To be honest, I could never match the quality of these brushes, but it wasn't worth ending up with hand surgery in order to use them! Please Chaz, make these brushes with a rubber grip!!
The nylon bristles are falling out of the brush after using it twice! I had to pick up these hard, prickly bristles off my bathroom floor. They were in my sink, all over my vanity, the bathroom floor. Ugh. Where is the quality control! I have not even opened the second brush. Definitely going BACK.
Bristles Falling Out
I've use one brush 4 times and more than 50 bristles fell out. This must be a defect because I have other boar bristle brushes and never had this happen
Will probably send back as defective
