WEN by Chaz Dean 4-pc. Deluxe Cleansing Conditioner Set
I have very fine, long, colored hair and I love Wen! I have always used high quality hair products but since I have been using Wen my hairdresser asked me what I have been using on my hair because it looks so healthy. I haven't noticed any difference in the different scents. They all work wonderful! The only problem is that I have had is that my color lasts so long now I need to have my beautician adjust the color because it stays just colored dark instead of washing out so I need a little lighter color. I love Wen!!
I ordered this product @ Christmas. I gave (2) away
Love this product
I love the WEN cleansers. I have seen where other people complain about not being able to get the cleanser out of the bottom or they liquidfy it. I agree that there needs to be a way to use the entire bottle. One thing I did was to use a new bottle, and keep the old bottle with the cleanser in it until I had room in the new bottle. I did this, and one thing I noticed on the push dispenser on my old bottle that it was half the size of the pumper on the new bottle. I was wondering why I was going through cleanser in such a short time with short hair. The tube on the pumper on the new bottles is A LOT bigger. I was very disappointed to see this. The same amount of cleanser is still encouraged for length of hair, but you are getting more cleanser with each pump. Is this a wise purchase considering the price?
Container Needs to be Changed!!
I absolutely love Wen and have suggested it to many friends and purchased Wen gifts to get people started. However,, my ONLY complaint is that the container needs to be updated. Why do I have to start watering down a product that costs alot of money when the bottle is less than half gone?? How about a tube or something where there isn't so much waste and dilution in order to get it out? I hope this note will be considered as I have sent messages in the past and my issues have fallen on deaf ears.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
I started using WEN last month & I have been in love ever since. I have long hair & have always used "good" salon products on my hair. But the past year I noticed after washing my hair it was like straw & I would have to use a ton of conditioner to make it feel soft. I watched the WEN shows many times but finally decided to order the last time they had a TSV. I got the sweet almond mint & used about 16 pumps, worked through scalp, rinsed & did 16 pumps again. After just the first rinse my hair felt so soft. I didn't think it could get better. After final rinse & a pump for leave in my hair felt like silk. I was sold. I tell everyone about it. In fact after just that first use I went to my hairdresser for touch up color & she noticed how soft my hair had changed. Yes 32 pumps sounds crazy, but you don't have to wash everyday. And you save from all the other products you would buy. No shampoo ever again for me!
I've been using this product for over a year and I can't say I'm getting the results that they claim. I do exactly what they say to do but it just isn't working for me. Very dissappointed. I even contacted Chaz Dean website as he suggested for help. This might work well for others, but I haven't seen it what they claim. I would like to know what they do behind the scenes to get the girls hair beautiful for TV. Sorry.
Great product but packaging needs improvement.
First of all I have to say the product is great! But the bottles are impossible. About 3/4 of the way empty, the pump stops working. The bigger the bottle, the bigger the problem. I have to add water, shake and really work to get all of the product out. I will continue to buy it , but will never buy the gallon one again and hope that someone will read this review and make some improvements. No one should have to work so hard to get the product out of the container. This applies to all the sizes.
Hair Falls Out
I used the product for over month and my hair started to fall out. The first two weeks were great and my hair felt great. After that my hair started to fall out. I noticed in the shower I had a half inch wide chuck of hair. My stylist said the hair follicles were clogged and the hair shed itself. I started using a cleansing shampoo and did a cleansing treatment to reverse it. I have also taken some Hair and Nail vitamins. My hair has stopped falling out now. It took about 3 months for my hair to stop excessively falling out.
I now use the remaining WEN product I have as a leave in conditioner or plain conditioner.
It seems to work great for some people and I have seen other reviews whom have had the same hair loss reaction. I gave it a 2 star because after my hair was "stable" again, using it as a leave in conditioner or regular conditioner is working nicely.
FYI, there wasn't any change in life style, stress level or sickness to cause the hair loss.
I'm a Convert
I bought WEN mainly for my elderly sister who was having problems with an itchy scalp due to thyroid problems. I gave her a bottle of the Tea Tree and decided to keep the Pomegranite for myself. My sister says that her scalp no longer itches and her hair feels "really nice" (she's 80)! I have salt and pepper hair and have noticed that the waves I had as a young woman have returned. My hair has a lot more body and is easy to style. We look great for a couple of "old ladies."
I am not ordering anymore. I've decided that it is not a priority for me when I can buy shampoo so much cheaper. I have long hair so I have to use (accourding to the Chaz Dean CD) like 16 pumps then rinse and repeat. 32 pumps everytime I wash my hair?!! Good God, I'd be using a bottle a week and at a cost of anywhere from $25.00 to $30.00 dollars a bottle that's too EXPENSIVE!!
Different formula gives different result
Each of these gives different result. It is NOT for all hair type. I have medium hair and scalp. I find Tea Tree and Pom work best. Sweet Almond smells nice but it dries out my scalp & hair. Lavender makes the hair look thick, but heavy thick now bouncy thick. Pom makes my hair shine more than tea tree, but Tea Tree re-moist, great for Winter dry scalp. They both give my hair the same result: bounce! I alternate Tea Tree and Pom. I do not use any styling product and only air dry hair. I rub a couple drops of intensive oil right after towel dry my hair. And I let it air dry. Just like normal shampoo, my hair looks great after wash but flat out by the end of the day. So I'm going to try Wen's mousse to see whether the beautiful air dry hair would hold for a couple days.
I hate this product!!!
I followed all directions, and my hair looks and feels worse than before. Do not recommend it to anyone at all!!!
