Susan Graver Set of 2 Liquid Knit Tops with Split Sleeves
I got a set last year and just received my second set last week!!! Washes and dries great, no ironing, travels great, 2 different looks, love all the liquid knit, true to size!!! I wear the 3 x and I get so many compliments on Susan gravers clothes , I especially wear the liquid knit!!!! I love the sleeveless in the summer , then layer it under a sweater in fall . The short sleeve is actually a longer sleeve but cool and split sleeve!!! Keep making the liquid knit!!!!
I LOVE THESE TOPS
I love these tops. I got the black and leopard and I wear the leopard at least once a week! My first liquid knit purchase and won't be the last.
I bought these in the purple and it came yesterday. I love them! They are light, will be easy to wash, and do not need ironing!
I'm buying two more in the animal/black!
Wish I Hadn't Hesitated
I hesitated a very long time before finally ordering this item, but now that I have I am glad I did. My reasons for hesitating was that I didn't think I would like the style of the shirt in the solid color, only the patterned one. I felt like the solid would not be particularly flattering, and I still feel that is the case for the most part. I also wasn't sure about the peek-a-boo sleeves with buttons because I thought they would lay poorly on the arm. I'm happy to say that much, at least, was not a problem. What finally convinced me to order was looking for an orange top with sleeves to wear with one of Susan's new maxi skirts with an orange print. I hoped this one would co-ordinate with it. It's not a perfect color match (the orange solid has a hint more 'melon' tone to it) but I think it's about as close as you could hope to get. I do think some of Susan's newer tanks (for example the Cami below in Clementine) are a better color match but they are all sleeveless.
That being said, the patterned orange tunic is stunning and the one I most wanted in the first place. Looks fantastic with jeans and would also go nicely with a black or dark pair of slacks or a skirt.
I am considering the purple set... most of the others have such horrible solid colors I doubt I would even consider them.
I am very happy with this purchase. I ordered a medium in the blue color and it fits perfectly. It is very comfortable to wear, very silky. I was also pleased with the quality of the fabric and the way it was made. I plan to get another color in the near future because it is a great value.
I ordered the palm green color. Not attractive coloring when you see it in person. Normally I love green, but yuk! Also shirts are quite wide and baggy. I normally wear a medium or large; ordered these in medium and they were very large and sloppy looking on me. Going back to QVC.
I am wearing the wheat print - I ordered it hoping that it would match my WWC pants & it does perfectly. Fit is very flattering. I am consistent in wearing a L in this brand on top/bottom; WWC; and D & Co. Love the longer sleeve length & that each combo has a different print plus getting two! I will likely get more in the future. Perfect for my office to look professional but comfy for me. I also have fibromyalgia & need clothes that have a great soft texture & are gentle to the skin. I would also not hesitate to wear this out super dressy or a little w/ a pair of jeans.
Huge and Boxey
Susan's sizes are not consistent as this top runs a size too big. I would take the sides in but Susan made this neckline too wide. She should know that it is not flattering for the 1X neckline to show your back below the back of the neck. The sleeves are too long below the elbow also, and this top is boxey with no shape. Instead of Semi-Fitted it should be called a "big top". I love her liquid knit, as it is great for work, but I can't afford the return shipping anymore. I wish the clothing line would have free or cut in half shipping, to give us a break.
I got the animal/purple and the colors are very pretty. I sized down as I usually wear a large but in SG tops I;m never sure. Got the med. and they are a little tight in the hips and too long since I'm only 5'3".
I ordered this in the black and animal print. They fit perfectly and washed like a dream.
I've loved Susans clothing line for years. But as the years add a few pounds to me, I find it harder to purchased sizes that include fit for two. I do not like that a Large is for size 14-16 because some of the sizes are tighter than others. Then if you order up to XL 18-20 its huge everywhere. Why don't designers make one size any longer? I see most designers do the two size fit more and more-and I hate it. I end up sending more back than keeping, so have quit purchasing. Trying to loose a little weight, but still doesn't help the two size purchasing. Love what Susan does with her clothing line-but the two size fit is a BIG turn off! Don't recommend to anyone any longer,
Long and Roomy
I ordered the blue combination in medium size. Both tops are somewhat long for one who is under 5'3 and also roomy in the tummy area. SG has to acommodate many figure types, but I don't have a tummy to hide, so I wonder if ordering a size down would make a difference? Sometimes Graver's medium is fine, though. The blue print is on the dressy side and would even give a polished, finished look to a pair of dark jeans. The solid blue can benefit from a scarf or necklace, and, because it is solid, it shows any bows or embellishment on your undergarments, so wear with plain, unadorned camis and bras.
