WEN by Chaz Dean Sweet Almond Mint and Pomegranate Duo
Not a Good Fit for Me
I have thick, fine hair. I struggle with breakage but don't color treat or use much in the way of styling tools. I've wanted to try Wen for awhile, so I was excited to see it on QVC.
I thought both products smelled medicinal. I had break outs along my hair line and down my neck after using, although it was worse with the pomegranate. My hair felt gunky the next day and I found that I liked it better with a good shampoo first, which is definitely not the way it's supposed to be used.
I did have less breakage. I've used the cleanser for about three months now and I don't have so many fly-away hairs.
If your hair is doing pretty well without Wen, I don't think it's worth the price.
The Exact Amount
Once I figured out the exact amount of the product to use, it was fine. I will admit that I wasted a lot to get the correct fit for my hair (thick, coarse and color treated). While I did use it regularly, I found that every three weeks, I did go back to my sulfate-free color treated shampoo and conditioner to do a deep washing. My hair would look and feel better switching between WEN and my regular shampoo. Because of the cost and not being truly satisfied with the long-term use of the product, I would not recommend.
I love Wen Products; my hair use to be very dry and damaged and hard to handle and after I would wash my hair it was knoted up in the back and hard to brush out.
But after using just one application my hair was easy to brush and handle and it even dries quicker as well. After using Wen products now for 3.5 months my hair is more healthier and stronger.
I would highly recommend any Wen Products
Love This Product
I have been using wen for a couple of years now and I have found that you do have to find the right formula that works for you. I like the sweet almond mint and the holiday scent vanilla mint, I too do not wash my hair everyday and I only use three pumps then I rinse that out, then I use three to five pumps again and rinse. It makes my hair feel healthy and clean
Hairs the same
I've wanted to try Wen for a long time so I finally did. My hair did not change or improve at all. I don't like the smell. Oh well at least I tried it but disappointed.
My Favorite Shampoo
I was very skeptical when I tried WEN shampoo. I have very fine, thin hair, and was sure it would be greasy and flat when using this shampoo, but I wanted to try it. Well, it is my FAVORITE shampoo. I have used the Lavender and Pomagranate shampoo and cannot even begin to tell you how great my hair looks and fixes. I am a WEN user for life! I Love this Shampoo!
Always assumed my hair wouldnt be clean without lather but was totally wrong... so love how soft and manageable yet feeling sooo clean it leaves your hair ...keeper!..although a bit expensive to maintain
not the same
I have been using Wen 4 years and something has changed in the product that does not work as well as it did in the beginning.
Not what I expected
First of all, wasn't as magical as it seemed on TV. Made my scalp too moist and I had to wash my hair more often. It took a lot of product for one wash. Disappointed
Everyone should give Wen a try. It works wonders on my hair so soft and not dry anymore.
This duo purchase is a great buy. I love it!!
Thank you QVC
I loved this product. My hair feels so soft and silky. My hair is fine and thin and this makes it look fuller and thicker.
I Love It!
I've been wanting to try this for years and finally got tired of my hair looking dull and dry. My hair is fine and wavy and a bit dry from coloring styling, etc. I was a bit apprehensive due to some negative feedback, but there are also tons of great reviews so I decided to give it a try. QVC really has the best deal around especially since it's not on "auto renewal" like it is on the Wen website. I hate being forced to purchase anything.
The results are not all that dramatic but my hair definitely feels a lot more moisturized and healthy and my scalp is no longer dry. I think people expect this product to give them amazing hair in one wash, but I think it takes time. My hair seems to get better and better with each wash and I expect the new growth to be even healthier. It's not going to turn dried out damaged spit ends into lustrous locks, so I would also recommend a healthy cut before you start.
I also don't use the ridiculous amount of product they suggest. Hair can only absorb so much product. Just make sure it is saturated with product. My hair is fine and about collar bone length. I use five pumps, then really really work it through for several minutes and rinse it out. Then I use 5 more pumps working it through really well again. It seems to thicken as you work it through. I let it sit on my hair as long as possible the second time while I finish up in the shower. Then rinse, rinse, rinse. I've seen people complain about itchy scalp or not feeling clean. I've never experienced this but I rinse it out really well. You will also want to re-wash your face with face wash. Any shampoo or conditioner of any brand is not meant for your face/body and can cause breakouts. I've been using it for about two weeks and love it. I can't see myself going back to regular shampoo. The smell of these are okay. Not very strong. I'd really like to try the Mango Coconut which I hear smells amazing.
