Liz Claiborne New York Short Sleeve Cardigan with Eyelet Inset
button hole problem
love the sweater except for the button hole problem can not return mine now too late. how can the button hole issue be fixed either by me or a seamstress?????? I hope that the seamstrees that also had this problem can help me??//
Very nice, sizing off, as usual, for Liz clothes
I really like this. I buy a lot of Liz clothes at the department stores and know that I wear an XL, sometimes a L. The size that QVC puts on the S, M, L, XL, etc for Liz is off. I wear a size 16 tailored top (because I have broad shoulders) which does not equate to what QVC says the XL is. Luckily for me I know how Liz stuff fits me and ordered appropriately. I will wear this as a shirt buttoned up. It seems like good quality so far but I don't know how it will wash up.
Beautiful sweater but.....
I am so disappointed and should have taken to heart another persons rating. I loved the sweater, the detail in the front is beautiful. But, the buttons and buttonholes aren't made for each other. Apparently they haven't taken into consideration the depth of the button and didn't allow a bigger hole for the button to go through. I am a seamstress, I know this is not right. I noticed one of the models with a different item, but a button down style, there was a problem. Having to 'tug' at the buttonhole makes it look like you've stretched the facing'. For Liz Claiborne, this is not her typical quality. I love the sweater but with regrets because of the above issue am returning it today. If the button/buttonhole issue wasn't there, I would give it a 5 star rating.
I'm getting the perception that "Liz Claiborne" is not what it used to be. This is the second "Liz" piece I'm writing about today. The sweater doesn't hang straight when not buttoned. Kinda hangs in a "V" direction down the front of the body. I noticed the models on TV had at least one button closed....now, I know why....it disguises the odd "hang" of the sweater. The button holes are poorly finished. I was so desperate for a "white, short-sleeve" cardigan to wear with my sleevless sundresses, I paid the price and will probably keep it and try to hide the "flaws" of this garment the best I can. I'm done with "Liz" stuff! The "Liz" line has been removed from most of the upper end department stores.....geez....I wonder why?
Perfect little summer sweater. Not heavy, doesn't cling, generous fit, not sloppy, just enough detail to make it interesting but not overpowering. I have the black and the white and get so much wear out of them. I hope this sweater comes back in more colors. I would like to see it in Navy.
Quality not worth the prtce
Loved the style but the quality of the sweater was not worth the price. The buttons and buttonholes did not caused the sweater to gap and sag. I would normally replace the buttons but the added cost was not worth it.
I'm wearing it right now! Well made; perfect weight for summer (even in the Texas heat) without being flimsy; very elegant and interesting but not fussy! I will definitely be purchasing another color in the near future!
