A213508 - Papillio Weave Print Curved Strap Adj. Buckle Sandal
not as pictured
I love the curved strap style and tried to replace a tan pair that I have had for years that are wearing out. When I got these home, they are more orange colored than tan. Also ordered these over the phone with my oringinal size and for some reason it doesn't match all of my other shoes that I have worn for years. they are too large. I waited too long to send them back but you might beware of the sizing before ordering yours in the future. I checked that I would not recommend unless you are not as particular with the color (I am) or the size works for you.
I wore these right out of the box and have barely taken them off since. I am a teacher and on my feet all day, and these are extremely comfortable. Well worth the money I paid for them because I will wear them and they won't be just decorating my closet!! Bought 2 pair and might go for another if I find a different color!!
Love these - great coverage of foot. Please make available navy, black and brown.
I love these shoes. They are very comfotable and look great. The cream color is more of a gray, which works for me. The fit is great.
Comfy, Roomy, Stays on Feet
Normally I don't purchase sandals for $100. This is well worth the price. Good German-made quality. Because of bunions, I have to buy a wider shoe. My foot is perfectly cradled in this sandal. In general I wear a medium - wide width (depending on who makes the shoe, of course).
I also don't normally purchase sandals that don't have a strap on the back to hold my feet in place. Amazingly enough, these stay on my feet, even climbing stairs.
I have heel spurs that are presently quiet. The way my foot is cradled & balanced in the bed of this sandal does not irritate the condition (not yet, anyway).
The only small irritation is that the left strap near the ankle occassionally digs into the lateral maleolus. Not a big issue at present. I can cushion the strap if need be.
Overall, I intend to use these sandals for many summers to come. So paying the enormous price of $100 will, in the long run, be money well spent.
I wouldn't give anyone a shoe for a gift (the next question on this review). Especially not this expensive model shoe.
The cream one has green buckles and has a slight green tint in the shoe. I have bought this kind and model of sandal before and hoped it would fit my wide feet as well as the previous ones. It doesn't. It is narrow. I know the solid black footprint is supposed to give customers a clue that it isn't wide, but my other curved strap shoe has the solid shoe and did fit. I like this shoe model a lot, but not this time.
LOVE this style!
I have one other pair I bought a couple years ago in this same style. They aren't one of the more common styles, so I jumped on it when I saw it. This is SO comfortable. It really "stays on" so its a fabulous walking shoe. Treak around on vacation on cobblestones with no problem. Please make more colors and designs in this pattern. I LOVE my Papillio, Birki's etc. Its all I wear. More shows please.
I just love this style of birkenstock's it it my most favorite. Received the blue Thursday and promptly wore them to work yesterday (Friday) oh so comfortable and the blue is really pretty with flecks of beige running through the straps. I am going back for another color.
love the shoe...color not as described
I love the curved strap sandals. I have oh...five pair. Since they are rarely offered I jumped at this one. I love the shoe! I was a bit disappointed with the color. I chose what was described as brown because I wanted a neutral color to wear with khakis.
This shoe is definitely pink. I will wear them with my denim capris...
The fit is perfect as Birkis always are. Yes, I recommend. Especially if you are looking for a pastel pink!
