Please, Please, PLEASE!
i agree with the others. PLEASE offer these--and other nice Clarks dress shoes--in a lower heel. I, too, would have purchased both colors if they had been offered with a lower heel option. They are beautiful; however, too high.

Just what I needed
I have started a new career working in retail and needed shoes for work. I spend over 10 hours a day on my feet and these feel great. Run a little on the small side, 1/2 size. I ordered up because of reviews and the fit is fine.

Comfort and Style
I get so many compliments on these shoes when I wear them. I am a teacher and stand up all day, these shoes are extremely comfortable. There is no "break-in" time. Another great shoe from Clarks.

GIVE US A LOWER HEEL
First of all Clarks are very, very comfortable shoes! However, I agree with Elise's review of 9-24-11. Please give us buyers the choice of a lower heel with this shoe. And also offer them in wider withs (D, E, EE), many women have BIG WIDTH feet like me! I have Clarks sandels in the larger size, and wide-with. Would love dress shoe in same size.

Heels of Clarks Dress Shoes
I gave 5 stars because I love Clarks dress shoes, however, I broke my back and cannot wear a heel that is higher than 1 to 1-1/2 inches; it seems all the dress shoes are 2-1/2 and up. I wish Clarks would give buyers the choice whether or not to purchase a lower or higher heel. It would be my guess the sales would increase indeed.
I also know that I'm talking for those who do not have a disability but who are at an age that the higher heel is just too much on the 'ole knees. I truly believe ladies love to dress up for a happy ocassion or just go out and go dancing ~ in a lower heel!!
I can guarantee you would reach another market. I definitely would have purchased these shoes in the platinium and black if the heel was in a 1 - 1-1/2...my age is within 50-60's...all my g/f's are w/i that age group and that is what they talk about as well. There's nothing worse than getting dressed up and finding a shoe with a low heel that is so uncomfortable you can't walk in it...Clarks can solve both by giving us the choice of heel size, plus the comfort is already there when you purchase a Clark shoe...food for thought.

Wonderful Shoes
I bought these in both colors. They are extremely well made and very comfortable. I found that with Clarks shoes, I need a full size larger in their dress shoes, which seem to be cut smaller than their more casual styles. However, once I determined my size, I've been able to order Clarks in that size with confidence -- the sizing is consistent. The width is good on these shoes: in other brands, I frequently need a "wide" width, but Clarks in "B" width fit fine. I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase of these shoes.

I am so excited!
I have neuropathy in my right leg and foot. I read the other reviews and gambled on these shoes for my daughter's wedding. I haven't been able to wear heels for years. The toes are too tight or they fall off (part of my foot can't feel the shoe so I walk right out of them). Anyway, I read the reviews and thought this might be just right for me. The minute I opened the box and held one I knew I was in love! The foot bed is so soft and cushiony. It bends and moves. I did buy the pewter, which is a little on the gold side, so it won't match with my dress, but you won't find me sending these back. I'll just order the black and have two pair!
Remember the European sizing and order up a half size just to be sure. They buckle so that will assist if they are even slightly large. I am a consistent 6 1/2 and these fit ever so slightly snug. I will order a 7 to be sure I am comfortable at the wedding.

Dawn 'Till Dusk
I got these is black and I love them! They are understated enough to wear to the office, but the 3" inch heel and girly cross straps makes them work for a night on the town or more formal event, as well. One of the reviewers with mature feet (like mine) mentioned she ordered them a little larger and I followed suit: got an 8M, instead of my usual 7 1/2M and they worked fine. They have great support and are very comfy; I would just recommend going up 1/2 size because the higher heel makes the toes slide down toward the front of the shoe, like with all higher-heeled shoes.

TOO HIGH ON THE BACK OF HEEL
Like another reviewer, I too found these to be a little high on the back of the heel and cutting into the skin - so they're on their way back. Also they are cute but a little clunky and substantial for what I was looking for.

comfortable shoe!!
These are very comfortable and I am on my feet most of the work day and still have no problem with my feet getting tired.

Perfect Shoe
I am 73yr old grandmother and have an existing foot problem from an old surgery .So much trouble wearing any shoes with a heel.I did order 1/2 size up, These came in one day before my Grandaughters's wedding,They are stylish and comfortable, and even got many compliments on them. I put them on wore them before and after the wedding. We walked and stood a long time .Thank God for Clark's excellent quality, not once did they even hurt. Actually more comfortable than my everyday walking shoe. Thank You Clark! Keep up the good quality work.

loved them....but
I couldn't wait to receive these; I ordered them in both colors.
They were everything the description stated...plush leather, soft inner sole, & oh so cute!
Unfortunately, the back of the shoe came up too high on the back of my ankle making them uncomfortable. I was so disappointed to have to return them. I rated them with a 4 not a five just for that reason. Great shoe, just not on me.
