Lamo Women's 9" Australian Sheepskin Boots
These were a five star BUT
Yes these are 5 star boots fit to size, no leaking, warm, nice color. All good ,after shoveling snow took off my boots ,had my warm soaks on walking on my hardwood floors and notice all these brown areas all over the floors, upon investigating found the dye of the boot had transferred to the soak then to the floors. Spent the next hour cleaning up the dye on my floors, not an easy task! Then I put the boots in the trash!!
This is my third pair of Lamo's, so obviously I like their comfort and quality. What I do find puzzling is their sizing. I wear a 10 1/2 and bought these in 11. They fit fine, but I also have a pair of shorter Lamo's in a 10 and I swear they fit exactly the same. Hmmm
Warm, Toasty and Comfortable
However, I would size up. I did size up, and even then I feel I could have sized up even one more time. The shearling inside takes up a lot of room, even lengthwise. Maybe after they're worn a lot the sheepskin will tame down and provide more foot room, I don't know, but they are really cozy and comfortable. I can't see ever wearing heavy socks unless you size up three sizes! However, you don't need heavy socks with these. Highly recommend, just keep in mind the space the shearling takes up inside, at least while they are new. At the top, I have wide calves and there is no problem with that; there is enough room at the opening at the top.
These are sooo warm and cozy! I did treat mine and don't have a single spot on mine and they are worn in some messy weather right now! The lining is very soft and feels wonderful! i can not wear my really thick socks with these as well as I can with the cheaper Lamos, but they are still warm with light weight socks! Thanks, QVC!!!
Wonderful warm boot
I received these for Christmas and just love them. They are so cozy and warm! I live in Michigan and have had a lot of trouble finding warm boots. I have never owned a pair of Uggs so I can't compare them but these are so nice and warm. The tags do say they are not treated so you must spray them with repellent to keep the spots off. I did that and mine have not spotted at all and I've been trudging through snow and salt water in parking lots. I would highly recommend these boots.
not a true brown color
the brown is more of a tan color, not the rich brown color in picture
Not whats pictured
Again, the chocolate is far from that deep dark color that shows on here. I purchased the cheaper ones first in chocolate and got something that resembles light cocoa. I kept for myself because they were so comfy and I didn't have a pair yet. Since granddaughter wanted Chocolate I went for these more expensive ones with sheepskin. Color was a bit darker than cheaper ones yet still not Chocolate! Frustrating since picture shows it very dark brown. Was expecting a difference in style and sole too but there wasn't much difference between the cheaper ones and these.
I'll only keep these if granddaughter really likes them. 80.00 with ship/tax is not something I want to hang on to if I'm not totally satisfied. Disappointed lately in a lot of QVC items as never before...what's up?
I live in North Florida and I wear these boots when the temp drops below 60! They are so warm and comfortable. However I would recommend going down a size as they are a little roomy and stretch. Have had mine for over a year and lots of compliments on them. BUT I did drop something on them that left a spot. I used Lambskin cleaner and I couldn't get the spot out no matter how hard I tried. So pre-treat yours and don't make a mistake like I did. But I do highly suggest you get you a pair!
I bought these to replace my well worn black uggs. They are not quite the same quality but they are good looking compared to some of the others out there.
But, do think they are a bit overpriced imo. The suede upper is nice and the sheepskin is warm and cozy. The sole does not look too durable. But they were half the price, so oh well.
I will keep them because got them thru the holiday 5 easy pay, and will get wear out of them.
I would recommend if you want that ugg look without the higher price.
The boots I recieved don't match the picture.
I was so excited to get these, but when I opened the box, they look like the $29 boots QVC is selling. Very disappointing they are going back. When you are charged 70 bucks for something you expect to get the pictured product.
I Love These!!
I wasn't surprised to find other great reviews when I came here to leave one. I received my boots on Wednesday and wore them to work yesterday. They were comfortable right out of the box! One of the only new footwear items I have purchased that I can honestly say that about. They are also one of the only new footwear purchases I haven't been anxious to get out of after wearing them for 9 straight hours.
I got the black and I see no difference in the expensive ones I looked at and these, except for the price. They run true to size and are very well-made. The sheepskin is soft and cozy and kept my feet warm inside and out. I'm definitely picking up at least one other color. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants the Aussie boots but can't afford them. Actually, I highly recommend them even if you can afford them. You can buy 2 pairs instead of 1! :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE
I have owned so many different kinds of Uggs over the years from way before they were "the" shoe to wear: I've bought *the* brand name, ones that were crafted by Aussies direct from Oz, knock offs from here in the States, you name it.
And these? They rate with the best of them, they're sooooooooooooo comfortable (all over, instant footy love), today it was a few degrees above freezing but my feet were totally toasty.
Don't hesitate on these. The quality is superb, the detail work is there and they're substantial but not too heavy.
This company really makes a good shoe -- I'll definitely be ordering more!
