Poor Selection by Nutrisystem
I don't blame QVC, so much as Nutrisystem, for the poor selection of 14 dinners that were sent to me. On the Nutrisystem site there are 33 dinner selections (excluding the frozen foods which don't apply here) for Nutrisystem to have chosen my 14 dinners from. However this is what I received: 3 Chicken & Dumpling dinners, 2 BBQ Sauce w/Beef-Rice-Beans dinners, 2 Meatloaf dinners, 1 Fagioli dinner, 1 Mac/Cheese/Beef reconstituted dinner, 1 Pizza dinner, 1 Rotini dinner, 1 Lasagna dinner, 1 Chicken Parmesian dinner and 1 Chili dinner. Why send multiples of the same dinner? I noted the multiples received low ratings from the consumers on the Nutrisystem site. I now have the impression employees there are told to ship out the unpopular items, which is unfair to us QVC consumers. There's no excuse as Nutrisystem should have send out 14 unique dinners, out of the 33 that are available.

great variety
I ordered this for my husband in an effort to join me in my weight loss objective. I need to shed off 15 lbs. and so I don't have to cook I got this for him. needless to say, he likes the foods in this configuration. I actually ordered a second shipment for him.

This package could be Great, But....
Qvc, this could be a great package, if you would tell us what dinner items we would be getting, half the items shown in your pictures are no longer being made by Nutrisystem. I will say, all of us have very different tastes in food, I have tried a lot of the Nutrisystem food (June 2010) Some I really like, some are just okay, and only one thing I tried I did not like at all (vegetable fajita) Some dinners I would suggest you include in the package are: Southwest Style Chicken Wrap, Zesty Cajun Chicken, Sausage and Rice, Vegetarian Chili, Both Pizza's, Spagetti, Penne Pasta & Chicken in Alfredo Sauce, Flamed Broiled Beef Pattie, Mac N Cheese.

TERRIFIC!!
I have lost 20 pounds in a very short time with Nutrisystem. I first ordered a TSV six week supply (weekends off). Decided that I was going to use the program as a six day on, one day off plan. On the day off, I eat anything I want. I go out to lunch and top the day off with a specialty ice cream treat from our favorite ice cream store. On the days when I am on the system, I never get hungry. In fact, I first thought that the food provided (plus added fruit or veggie) was too much and that I wouldn't be able to loose weight. Not so. Anyway, after trying several of the offerings, I was able to select those that I preferred. Now I go directly to Nutrisystem and purchase a la carte. That means that I don't get any items that I don't like. I plan to stay on Nutrisystem for a long long time. Especially like the portion control. Also prefer the Italian dinners and the chicken with almonds, rice and vegetables. Thanks Nutrisystem for making me look and feel better.

Remember it works-you do lose weight quickly!
I can't help but say that I think that some people who are complaining about the food in this plan-- may not have thought about the fact that it must be a fairly complicated and tedius process- to add a large combination of foods in a plan such as this with all the right combinations of ingredients when mixed with any number of choices of meal components--for all types of overweight people, and the entire system triggers a weight loss . It is the structured nature of the program which makes it work -and the day to day undeniable results make a little while without delicious food a pretty good trade off. I have been on NutriSystem for a couple of weeks- am a Senior , handicapped, and heart patient, and I love to eat. I had slowly over some years gained so much weight that I couldn't get around even with my cane. I was 2 points away from diabetes-- and after a very short time have lost inches galore and can stand and walk with my cane again! I found that some of the foods are yukky- compared to home cooking anyway, and some of them are not bad at all. If you pick the ones you like best and stick with them- you'll have solved a big part of your problem. I think we should remember- what difference does it make for a short while if you're getting nutrition and complete instruction on how to use this plan-- when you are absolutely going to lose weight!! and it's only for a little while-kiddos. Even Marie Ozmond said- when someone on tv asked her if the food was good? She said "what difference does it make-it works". This is the first weight loss I've tried - that gives me results without my being able to exercise at all.

worst meals i have ever had. maybe its because i am from new orleans where our food has flavor; whether you cook at home or go out.

Recommend with strong reservations
The NS portion-control idea is good. I am old enough to remember when NS had on-site meetings and you toted your week's food home. This modern era of NS meals arriving at your front door is helpful. However one area of improvement is sorely needed--the appearance and taste of many of these meals. Nothing much has changed the look and appearance of these meals since I was first on NS years ago. For instance, the Beef Pot Roast has 2 halves of a pressed meat pattie, not appetizing at all. I'm sorry, but I almost gagged looking at it. I did 'suck it up' and ate it. It didn't taste all that bad (if you're blindfolded it tastes better). Some of the Italian meals are decent, albeit very small. The pizza sauce is not very good, mine is better, I'd put my own on it just to make it palatable enough to eat it. I am convinced that my weight issues (need to lose about 25 lbs) are not due entirely to my own lack of will power. If there are good food substitutions, portion control is easy; but food must be appealing to the eye as to the tastebuds. Especially b/c the amount of food on a diet is so small--it is even more important to savor each bite you do get to eat. If you like the taste & appearance of these meals, you are ahead of the game. I personally am having problems in this area and it is defeating the purpose. I hope one day I can try NS again and notice a positive difference.

great deal
I love the food, I have lost 25 pound in 8 weeks. I am diabetic and my blood sugars have never been so good. It is an easy plan to follow. You add salad and vegetables, plus fruit and/or yogurt.
I feel great.

the food tastes bad
First off I received the package late....I also ordered the breakfast and lunch 2 week supply....it came a week earlier than this package. My daughter and I were doing it together, but the food was just too bad to continue. I also had to add too much of my own food....I figured I would have to heat one thing and be done. For the price I thought it would be delicious microwavable dinners. Banquet meals taste better than this....not worth the money. Reading the ingredients is kinda scary too. We tried for a week and sent it back.
