The flower motif mainly comes from Andy Warhol's silk screens of flowers in repeating series of four or more panels. This is where he reinvented the concept of color and lines with his off-register, spontaneous screening methods. Andy has given us endless images of pure innocence — childlike visions of day-to-day icons of happiness — like cherubs, pudgy baby angels, butterflies, birds, and skies, cascading with thousands of shooting stars and moons, flowers and bees, hearts, birthday cakes, and fruit. For each earring choice, Robert reinterpreted an iconic symbol that made Andy Warhol's art legendary into a piece that's true to the Warhol aesthetic, but also true to Robert's own vision.
