"Butterflies have always been a classic representation of renewal and delicate beauty. The caterpillar transforming into a butterfly is quite special. As a woman, their symbolism has long appealed to me. The butterfly I've designed is substantial in size and features a sleek, piercing torso. Its wings are ornate and set with crystals, then accentuated by sharp thorn-inspired filigree. I created this butterfly to be a provocative example of steely beauty and strength and to suggest that a woman who is enchanting and lovely should not be underestimated. I believe this piece’s strength and emotion will resonate with many American women as much as it does with me."
