Why am I having trouble viewing or using QVC.com?

If you're having trouble viewing pages or searching on QVC.com using Internet Explorer, there may be an issue with the security settings in your browser. To fix this problem, try either adding QVC to your "Trusted Sites" list, or modifying your Security Zone settings using the following instructions:


To add QVC to the Trusted Sites list:
  1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options".
  2. Click the "Security Tab".
  3. Click the "Trusted Sites" icon.
  4. Verify that the security level for this zone is set to "Medium" or "Medium-High". If they're set to "Custom", click the button that says "Reset all zones to default level".
  5. Click the "Sites" button.
  6. In the box marked "Add this web site to the zone" type in "QVC.com". (Do not type "http://" or "www".)
  7. Make sure the box marked "Require server verification for all sites in this zone" is NOT checked. Click "close".

To change your Security Zone settings:
  1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options".
  2. Click the "Security Tab".
  3. Click the "Internet" icon.
  4. Ensure your settings are set to "Medium" or "Medium-High". If they're set to "Custom", click the button that says "Reset all zones to default level".
  5. Click "close".

Why doesn't the page fit on my screen? I have to scroll to the right to view it.

QVC.com is best viewed at 1024x768 resolution or higher. If you need to scroll to see the entire page, your resolution is probably lower than 1024x768. To adjust your monitor resolution, do the following:


PC users:
  1. Right click anywhere on your PC desktop and select "Properties"
  2. Select the tab labeled "Settings"
  3. Slide the bar labeled "Screen Resolution" to the right until it reads "1024x768"

MAC users:
  1. Select "System Preferences"
  2. Under Hardware, select "Display"
  3. In the Display tab, select 1024 x768 from the resolution options
Another reason you may have to scroll is that you have Favorites, Browser History, or a toolbar open to the left of your browser window. Closing those will help you view the entire page without scrolling.

Why do the pages take so long to load?

This site is optimized for broadband connections. If you're using a dial-up connection, it will take a while to load the page, due to our larger images. We are working to improve the site experience for those using a dial-up connection.

How do I optimize QVC on my AOL Browser?

Follow these easy steps:

  1. Go to My AOL at the top of the page
  2. Click "Preferences"
  3. Click "WWW"
  4. Under Web Preferences, uncheck "Use Compressed Graphics"
  5. Under Cache, select "Empty Cache Now"
  6. Click "OK"

Can I print a page from QVC?

Yes, you can. Most browsers support printing Web pages. Follow the directions below for your browser type.

Printing Instructions For Personal Computers:

Internet Explorer

  1. Move your cursor arrow into the area/frame you want to print and click the right mouse button. This will bring up a little menu box where you clicked.
  2. Choose "Print" from the menu box.
  3. In the Print window, under the "Print Frames" section, make sure you choose the "only the selected frame" choice.
  4. Click "Print".

Firefox

  1. Click in the area/frame you want to print.
  2. Go to the menu in the upper left corner of your browser window.
  3. Choose "File" then "Print".
  4. In the Print window, under the "Print Frames" section, make sure you choose the "the selected frame" choice.
  5. Click "OK".

  1. If the file you want to print is contained in a frame, click inside the frame.
  2. Go to the menu in the upper left corner of your browser window.
  3. Choose "File" then "Print".

How can I bookmark the QVC.com Homepage?

Follow the directions below for your browser type:

Internet Explorer:

  • Allow the QVC.com Homepage to fully load.
  • Go to the Favorites pull-down menu, and select "Add To Favorites".
  • You will then see the Add To Favorites window.
  • The title of the page you've selected will appear in the text field at the bottom of the window (e.g., QVC.com Shopping Home Page). You may wish to add additional words to describe the page.
  • To add the page you've selected, click "Add".

Firefox:

  • Allow the QVC.com Homepage to fully load.
  • Go to the Bookmarks pull-down menu at the top of your screen and select "Add Bookmark".

To use the new bookmark for either browser, go back to the Favorites or Bookmarks menu. The QVC.com Homepage has been added to the Bookmarks menu items. Clicking on the new entry will return you to the QVC.com Homepage.

Why won't my bookmark work any more?

The page you bookmarked may have moved. We are constantly adding to and refining our site to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. So the page you bookmarked may have been moved, renamed, or even removed completely. Also, some pages are seasonally oriented and may be removed when the season ends. Our products are always changing to assure you a fresh experience, so a bookmarked product may have simply sold out.

If you cannot find a product you have bookmarked, try using our search engine to see if has been moved to another page.

Do I need a different QVC Customer Number to order online?

No. A different QVC Customer Number is not required to order online.

What if I forgot my PIN or QVC Customer Number?

QVC offers a "Forgot Your PIN?" feature that enables you to obtain your PIN (Personal Identification Number) within minutes by simply entering the e-mail address that appears on your QVC customer account. QVC will then send your PIN directly to your e-mail address. If the address you provide does not match the one on your QVC customer account, you will receive a message advising you to contact the QVC Customer Service department.

You can also get your QVC Customer Number by calling Customer Service at 1-888-345-5788. When you call, be sure to have your name, complete billing address, and phone number handy, so we can quickly find your account information.

If you've forgotten your PIN, a customer service representative will ask you a series of security questions and will reset your existing PIN to a new number for your shopping convenience.

How do I search for an item on QVC.com?

You can search for an item on QVC.com by placing a keyword in the "Search" box, which is located at the top of every page. To narrow the search, please be as specific as possible. If you know the Item Number, place it in the "Search" box, hit "Enter" on your keyboard, and the item's Product Detail will be displayed.

What is Speed Buy?

Speed Buy is the fastest way to order on QVC.com. Once you have started Speed Buy on your computer, you can simply click the "Speed Buy" action button on any item — or on your completed Shopping Cart. Then all you need to do is enter your email address or QVC Customer Number and PIN, and you're DONE!

NOTE: With Speed Buy, your order will be billed to the last credit card you used and will be shipped to the address you previously provided as your Bill–To Address and/or permanent Ship–To Address. (If you have used Speed Buy before and have used our Address Book feature, you will be able to send your order to another address already in your Address Book by selecting the "Review My Order" button. Once you do this, however, you will no longer be in the Speed Buy feature.)

What is the difference between QVC.com's Speed Buy and standard Check-Out?

Speed Buy uses the current data on your account: name, Bill–To Address, QCard® account, or last payment method. When you use Speed Buy:

  • Your item will be shipped to your Bill–To Address, and/or permanent Ship–To Address on file.
  • Your item will be shipped via Standard Shipping.
  • QVC will charge the last credit card you used to make a purchase.

NOTE: If you have used Speed Buy before and have used our Address Book feature, you will be able to send your order to another address already in your Address Book by selecting the "Review My Order" button. Once you do this, however, you will no longer be in the Speed Buy feature.

Standard Check-Out lets you make certain changes. When you use Standard Check-Out, you can...

  • Specify a different Ship–To name and address for this order only (if you do not want the item sent to the Bill-To Address).
  • Upgrade to faster shipping for this order only.
  • Modify your payment method.

How do I use video on QVC.com?

Viewing video is easy — you can watch it within the video player, or enlarge it to full screen. If you want to see what's on QVC TV, just click Live Stream and you can watch it right on your computer. Or, visit Items Recently On Air to catch video presentations of your favorite products.

QVC High-Definition (QVCHD)?

About QVCHD
QVC launched a high-definition (HD) simulcast of our domestic broadcast in the Spring of 2008, and upgraded that service to a native HD program in April of 2009, making us the first multimedia retailer to offer an HD channel. As a result, QVC can now tell the story of our products with a crisper, more colorful, and detailed picture, complete with rich textures and vibrant images, along with crystal, clear sound quality.  

Want to take a look? Contact your TV service provider to see if they also offer our channel in high definition. If so, you'll need to both subscribe to the HDTV service tier and make sure you have the right HDTV equipment to display the high-definition picture resolution. (If your TV provider does not offer QVCHD channel in your area, rest assured that QVC continues to broadcast the same programming in our current standard-definition format.)
