About the Event

Thank you QVC customers! With every pair of shoes you order during QVC Presents "FFANY Shoes on Sale," you're making a difference in the fight against breast cancer. This year's event will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 7–10 p.m. ET.

In addition, throughout October QVC will present a Shoe of the Day each weekday until it sells out. Here's your chance to shop designer shoes, save money, and support a worthy cause.

In recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness month, QVC, the Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation (FFCF), and the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) have joined forces to raise money for breast cancer research and education. This year during the three-hour broadcast from QVC Studio Park (with footage from QVC Presents "FFANY Shoes on Sale" in New York City), QVC will offer more than 100,000 pairs of designer shoes at half the suggested manufacturer's retail price.* Net proceeds from "FFANY Shoes on Sale" and special QVC Shoe of the Day segments will benefit breast cancer research and education.

With more than a million pairs of shoes sold since the first benefit event in October 1994, QVC Presents "FFANY Shoes on Sale" 2010 is expected to bring the cumulative total proceeds to over $34 million. Through funds raised from this event in past years, a groundbreaking nationwide network of prominent breast cancer research centers was developed. Each of the selected facilities concentrates on individual facets of breast cancer research.

The beneficiary hospitals for 2010 are: the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the Women's Cancers Program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Breast Oncology Program at University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Research Center of Washington University, the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and the John Wayne Cancer Institute Breast Center at Saint John's Health Center.
