QVC NAMES AMY STRAN PROGRAM HOST
West Chester, Pa. (September 29, 2009) – QVC recently announced that Amy Stran has been named program host. Stran joined QVC in February 2009 and underwent a six-month training program to learn about QVC's products and sales strategy. In this role, she will continue to present product information, conduct demonstrations and interact with on-air guests, celebrities and viewers during the network's live broadcast.
“Amy has a proven talent in connecting with our customers. She's someone they love to shop with,” said Jack Comstock, vice president of talent for QVC. “We're thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
Prior to joining QVC, Stran hosted “Premium TV,” a show that promotes premium cable networks. She has a background in theater and television, and has held parts on soap operas “All My Children” and “One Life to Live.”
Stran earned her bachelor's degree in theater from Catawba College, Salisbury, N.C.
