EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF MULTICHANNEL PLATFORMS

West Chester, Pa. (September 23, 2008) – QVC, Inc. recently announced the promotion of Angie Simmons to executive vice president of multichannel platforms. In this new role, Simmons will continue to deliver a multichannel experience to the QVC customer. She is also responsible for leading and overseeing the following teams: Sales (TV and Internet), Creative Design and Development (creative direction, video and remote content productions), Platform Operations and Broadcast Technology (TV broadcast operations, QVC.com, new media, broadcast technology) and Talent and Guests (program hosts, on-air guests and models).

Simmons most recently served as QVC’s senior vice president of broadcasting and TV sales. In this position, she was responsible for the overall operations of QVC’s Broadcasting division, including the network’s live broadcast (reaching 94 million domestic homes), on-air sales, on-air talent, on-air production, remote broadcasting and broadcast engineering. “Since joining the company in 2006, Angie has successfully led several key initiatives in QVC’s Broadcasting arena,” said QVC’s President of U.S. Commerce Claire Watts, to whom Simmons reports. “Angie’s extensive knowledge of the industry and passion for the business will be invaluable as we meet future challenges of multichannel synergies and efficiencies.”

Simmons came to QVC from Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. as senior vice president of Network Operations. She was responsible for all technical, operational, administrative and financial efforts undertaken by Turner’s Network Operations division (TNT, TBS, TCM, Cartoon Network and NBA TV).

Simmons is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and a recipient of the organization’s Philadelphia Liberty and Red Letter Catalyst awards.
