Jane Treacy

Jane Treacy joined QVC in 1986 as one of the original hosts. In this position, Treacy presents product information, conducts demonstrations, and interacts with on–air guests, celebrities, vendors, and viewers.

Treacy began her broadcasting career at CNN while still in college. She later went on to WNEP–TV in Scranton, PA as an assistant producer. In 1985, she was host/producer of Real to Reel, a magazine–style public affairs program on WJAR–TV in Providence, RI. While there, Treacy received the Proclaim Award and the Big Brothers of Rhode Island Community Service Award for her production of public service announcements. In 1986, Treacy returned to Pennsylvania to host Real to Reel for WPHL–TV in Philadelphia.

Treacy plays a significant role in the fight against cancer since the loss of her mother in 1991. She has served as a board member, an executive committee member, and the publicity director of the Chester County Unit of the American Cancer Society. Since 1995, she’s hosted QVC Presents FFANY Shoes on Sale, a television special benefiting breast cancer awareness and research.

The National Infomercial Marketing Association (NIMA) nominated Treacy as the Best Television Shopping Presenter. In 1995, she won the NIMA award for Best Short Form Commercial, which featured the Miracle Mop and Joy Mangano.

Treacy studied with the Pennsylvania Ballet for nine years before becoming a soloist with the Tri–State Ballet Company. She has since returned to the stage, appearing as Clara’s mother in the West Chester, PA Ballet Theatre production of The Nutcracker.

Treacy has a B.A. in Telecommunications from Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA.
